Backed during the crowdfunding campaign, looking forward to playing it!

Glad you like it!

Thanks for the comprehensive response! I was struggling myself when writing that section to find a better way to put it but couldn't come up with anything that worked better, glad the example cleared up the problems you encountered!

Glad to hear I made the right choice by including an example and thank you very much for your kind words! Was there a particular section of the instructions that was unclear? I'm always looking to improve the clarity of my stuff!

I suspect it might be a combination of both of us on this one! Not sure if my writing was the most clear on the roll needed for each step.

Oh, I meant that the final step is literally impossible, you can't roll a 21 on a d20!

Glad you like the concept! It felt very appropriate to have the die literally be the boulder. Not convinced the odds of winning are quite as good as you think they are though...

Great to hear it! I've got a TONNE of paper around myself (drafts of various TTRPG design, research papers from when I was a student etc.), so this felt like a good way to make use of it and come up with something fun!

Really like the concept, definitely adding it to my list of games to try!

Hi all!

  1. My name's Daniel (he/they)
  2. I can never settle on a favourite system, though I'm enjoying messing around with exploding dice systems lately
  3. This is my first year participating in the jam, though I've made a few one-page adventures and one one-page game before
  4. I want to try making something (or multiple somethings) that avoid standard resolution mechanics -- it feels like it will be a fun challenge (already made one so far in the jam, maybe a second, we'll see)

Just followed you on Twitter/X (surprised I wasn't already following you tbh), as I assume that'll be the best place to send you a key.

Edit: Just realised I follow you on Tumblr, too. As before, whichever you prefer.

I realise I never posted here to let you know! Massive fan of the simplicity and elegance of the system! Made a game using it for Free RPG Day called The Curse Lingers! Thank you so much for your amazing work!

It really speaks to the design of your system that I decided to create the game a week before and was able to complete the game (including formatting and additional mechanics) before Free RPG Day!

(I'd love to send you a code to the game, as a thank you for your work, as I increased the price following Free RPG Day. Send me a message however works best for you if you'd be interested!)
