Old post, replying for newer players to find. Must be submissive and choose "submit" before the fight

I had this issue, use computer and "skip" to day 1 should fix, at least it did for me

New combat update makes solo fights especially in the flashback scenes while clearing sublevel 2 nearly impossible, I get 1 attack then the 3 closest guys run up and kill me. Even in the group fights it makes combat slower, yeah movement doesn't use energy but I can't move after using my energy so I can't attack and back off to kite the enemies like I used to. recharging only 1 energy per round instead of two makes akimbo weapons lose the benefit of akimbo. Also if an enemy can't move close enough to you there's a chance the game just softlocks.
