Overall I like the idea - very "avant-garde" and well scoped for a game jam. Keep it up! In terms of feedback, there could be a better indication of where to get food from (i was trying to interact with the boxes) - maybe a very clear doormat or a UI element to show that it's an interactive spot. I also had a bug where the eat food/drink screen got stuck and wouldn't go away. 

The beginning went on just long enough that I started to wonder when it would switch and I jumped when it did! Great work creating tension with the title
