Hello everyone! my name is Cici and I'm an indie dev currently creating a VN project called Persephone's Descent! It is a Greek mythology-inspired, Yandere horror game about the myth of Hades and Persephone. I voiced both Hades and the male version of Persephone in the "Perseus' Descent Demo" that's currently available (it's the same game just with a male protagonist) But honestly, I would rather try to get someone else to do the voice acting for the final game as I am just not that great at it. lol
We currently have a voice actress for female! Hades and Persephone, but if that changes, I will let y'all know. Currently, we need VAs for the following roles by order of importance:
Hades
Perseus (Male! Persephone)
Erebus (Male, Titan God of Darkness)
Styx (Female, Titan Goddess of the River Styx)
Demeter (Female, and will warn you, she only has about 3 lines in the entire game, sorry lovers of Demeter)
Charon (Male, Ferryman of the Underworld)
Cyane (Female, Nymph friend of Persephone/Perseus)
The game is completely free to play and always will be so this would be solely volunteer work. If you are interested, please feel free to comment here or shoot me a friend request via Discord! My username is @cicigilley
Thank you to everyone who takes the time to look over this post, I hope you'll consider working with me :)
EDIT!: This just in, my female VA for Persephone/Hadea has dropped out due to personal life issues. While I may already have a replacement for Hadea, we will need someone to play Persephone. This is a very important role (If not THE most important in the game)
Hi Greedyroz just wanted to say your art is really awesome and I'm currently working on an LGBTQ Horror Visual Novel called Persephone/Perseus's Descent, It's inspired by Greek mythology (Specifically the myth of Hades and Persephone). The project is unpaid because it's free to play and will remain so upon release, I already have a character artist who works in France but would love to work with you possibly as an extra Illustrator for the team if you were interested. Your job would be mostly drawing promotional materials as well as possibly a few cutscenes. The game is only 3 chapters long and is already mostly finished (Currently we're updating the graphical aspects). You can check out the latest Demo here if you are interested -Perseus Descent Demo
Perseus is a young spring god living a peaceful life with his mother, Demeter, on their secluded farm. His quiet days of creating flowers are upended forever when the lord of the dead kidnaps him to be his new husband. Will Perseus accept his fate or fight for freedom? The choice is yours!
Perseus' Descent is a psychological horror dating sim based on the myth of Hades and Persephone. The web version is the Chapter 1 Demo which currently has 1 ending and only takes about 10 minutes to complete.
The Chapter 2 Demo, now downloadable for PC, contains a fully revised version of the original Beta game's script, new graphics, and 3 different endings. You can find both versions here- Perseus' Descent [Demo]
Hello, everyone, my name is Cici, and I create visual novels. I usually make them by myself or with the help of my friends. Lately, I've made a lot of work for myself and could benefit from the help of a second programmer on my team. This is for fun there's no deadline and no paid work as this is a free-to-play project. The project is called "Perseus's Descent" and is a horror game based on the myth of Hades and Persephone. It's very narrative-heavy and, includes quick time events as well as some point-and-click mechanics. Currently, I have 2 out of what will be at least 3 chapters written and you can play the demo for Chapter 1 here -Perseus Descent Demo
This project is done in renpy and you can contact me about it through my discord @cicigilley or my email ciciartdreamer@gmail.com
thank you in advance to anyone who shows interest
Hello my name is Sierra "Cici" Gilley and I am a 2D cartoonist with over 18 years of self-taught experience. Up till now I only have been creating assets for my own games, but I figured why not try to find a team looking for an artist. Below are some examples of my work:
I hope you will consider me for character or GUI art for your next project!
Hi, I'm an indie developer trying to make a turn-based, survival horror game in Ren 'Py but I do not have the artistic capabilities to make the proper backgrounds I require for the game. It is a supernatural horror game, about the myth of Hades and Persephone. I already have an outline for the entire game, I just need to have someone work with me to create a few backgrounds for it. The game while rooted in Greek mythos is mostly Victorian-style supernatural horror. Unfortunately, at this time cannot pay for the work but will gladly give full credit to anyone who assists me. Does not matter if the art is pixel art or 2D. If interested you can either reply here or contact me through discord, my username there is cicigilley. Thank you and have a nice day.
Crush Landed Devlog #4
Well, it's that time again, time for another devlog. Here are some things that have changed since the last devlog:
The date mechanic is now being modeled after Love Hina Sim Date RPG's date system. What exactly does that mean? Well, it means there will be multiple mechanics that make a date successful, including gift-giving, talking, and kissing your crush. For now, there are 4 different date locations. Originally each date location was going to have a separate minigame, but for now, it's looking like that will be more difficult to implement than I thought. A lot of the Lemma soft forums' renpy cookbook code is out of date, making it harder for a noob programmer like me to figure things out without breaking stuff. Because of this, dates may seem a tad bit repetitive until further updates are implemented to balance out gameplay.
I've implemented Vincent's endings but haven't finished drawing the art for them. The update will be released once I have at least 2 endings for all four love interests. (a good ending and a bad ending)
Another small victory is I have implemented the love stats screen, allowing the player to check how well they're doing with their crush by clicking the small, two hearts button on the upper right-hand corner of the main in-game menu.
Here are some screenshots of things I have done so far:The main in-game menu
Date menu example (GUI will be updated for it later)
What else is there? I know there's something I'm forgetting...
Oh yeah! Customizable sprites. If Crush Landed gets popular enough, I'd like to make a character customizer for the player. This will take quite a lot of work and likely won't be in the next update, but it is something I definitely would like to have in the final game.
Thank you to everyone who has played so far and I hope to update the game soon!
Lots of love, Cici
Hello everyone my name is Cici and I am seeking to join a team for the upcoming Yandere Game Jam. I am a skilled cartoonist with over 17 years of self-taught experience and am also an excellent writer who has some skills in coding with Renpy. I was originally planning to join the game jam alone but figured I would have a better chance with a team. I would rather not lead the team as this would be my first jam, but I do have game ideas and can lead if necessary.
Hello y'all, Cici here! I'm the solo developer of Crush Landed, a comedy sci-fi visual novel and dating simulator that I am working on as a hobby. Crush landed is only my second game ever (My first was a terribly buggy game I made called Date with a Werewolf) And I am hoping to get some feedback about the game. We are currently on version 1.0 of the demo and the first update is due sometime in early February. Any feedback is greatly appreciated, as I am literally a noob to all of this indie game developer stuff. you can GET THE DEMO HERE. What I'm mostly looking for is feedback on the plot and characters, as well as suggestions for minigames I could include in the date portion of the game. Thank you everyone who checks out this post :)
Hello everyone, Cici here with another Crush Landed Devlog!
The update is coming along fairly quickly. Here's some important things to know about this first update:
The dates in Crush Landed aren't very engaging at the moment because they're text placeholders, they're going to be updated with minigames as development continues. I still really need suggestions for good, point-and-click minigames I could add to Crush Landed. My friend says point-and-click games are too old hat, but I want to keep Crush Landed as casual a game as possible.
The aliens now have Human disguises they will wear when out and about with you around town (Because it just made sense story-wise) These haven't been fully implemented yet.
I'm hoping after an update or two I'll be ready to start a Kickstarter or IndieGoGo campaign with some rewards to help me earn enough money to hire voice actors for the game as well as be able to put the demo up on Steam. For now, I would love to hear from some fans about things I could improve upon in the game. Whether it's character-related, story-related, or just a simple GUI suggestion, feel free to leave any comments here or on the Crush Landed Itch.io page and I'll do my best to reply to them all.
Thank you again to everyone who has given Crush Landed a try so far, I appreciate every single one of you. That's all for now, Cici
UPDATE: Crush Landed Devlog #2
Hello again everyone, it's me Cici, I just wanted to do a quick update to let you all know what I've been working on right now!
Features I've implemented already include:
- Earning in-game money by working
- A Gift shop and Gift Giving mechanic
- A "poke" mechanic that allows you to annoy your crush for fun. (Doesn't do anything beyond trigger random dialogue... for now ;) )
- A date menu that currently crashes the game because I still have to implement the actual dates/date minigames. lol
Some features that I haven't included yet are:
- Actual minigames, I need suggestions for what types of minigames you guys would want to see (keeping in mind the game is meant to be a casual, point-and-click dating sim)
- Customizable wardrobe for Catty/Carter (The player character).
- More sprites, characters, and storyline (especially the endings)
So, when is the next update coming Cici?
I always set longer deadlines than I actually need to make sure in case of emergencies I still finish the game update in time. So while I'm going to say for NOW the first update is set for some time in early February (Before Valentine's Day), but depending on my schedule and motivation, it could be as early as late January (around the 31st).
Just felt like updating you guys, hope everyone is having an exciting and happy new year so far. Thank you again to every player of Crush Landed. So far, we've reached 17 downloads as of Friday and I hope we'll have many more to come.
Welcome to the first Crush Landed Devlog!
Crush Landed is a visual novel dating sim with fun point-and-click elements where you play as either a man or a woman who has recently been dumped and Aliens crash land into your backyard. You get to choose your name, and there are (for now) 4 possible love interests! The demo is already available but does not include any endings yet. I am currently solo-developing Crush Landed for free and plan to keep the game Name Your Own Price until it is fully completed.
What I need right now is an audience to support me and spread the word! I am new and not a professional, so my success lies in the hands of my audience. I will be updating you guys often on progress either here or on the Crush Landed Development Blog (tumblr.com) (currently empty but will be updated soon!)
I hope to have the next update for Crush landed out soon and thank you to everyone so far who has played the game!
