It’s explained in the tutorial dialog, but I agree that this can be easily overlooked. The quest is already expanded in version 0.7 which is currently only available on Patreon and will come to itch a bit later.
I’m sorry to hear that. It might be that the device is not strong enough. Unfortunately I’m not controlling how well Winlator performs. I can just confirm that it runs for me and others like that. Longterm I hope to deliver a dedicated Android version that does not rely on Winlator.

Unfortunately, I could not reproduce that issue as of now, and I'm not aware of anyone else who has the issue who could point me to it. You would just need to left-click through the dialog until it is done. There is nothing special happening on that step, the dialog continues for two more until it finishes. If you haven't already, please go to the settings dialog in the main menu and use the "reset game" function to see if that works.
That's likely just an issue of the display animation and not the actuall money missing. But either way I will work and reproducing and fixing that issue.
The game is still in active development. Currently, itch.io only has version 0.5. The new version 0.6 is currently exclusively available for the supporters on Patreon. In the future, version 0.6 will also come to itch and the Patreon Supporters will get version 0.7 etc.
For the time being, there will be a major update to the game at least once a month.
The current version has three cats to be found. More are added as the size of the city is expanded with the upcoming story updates. Expect more similar side quests too! :)
Update: I found the bug. Photo nr 55 was missing in a list. This will be fixed with the next update. It will automatically work for you, and you don't need to do anything other than updating the game. :)
There was an issue with German localization in the build from yesterday that was fixed this morning. If you encounter any issues please let me know here and they will be resolved ASAP.
German localization was prepared but not released yet. It looks like the incomplete localization was falsely loaded when starting the game on Windows with the German system language. A new version of the game was just uploaded and should fix the problem!
Please use the “Reset Game” button in the settings dialog to restart the game save. That would be "Spielstand Zurücksetzen" in German. After that, it should all work correctly for you, but please let me know if you encounter an issue again.

I’ve put it on ice for now to focus on projects where I see more potential. This one here is one I wanted to complete before the holidays and I’m expecting to reveal my next bigger game in early 2025. The phone-simulation module was always meant to be the a core mechanic for a future bigger game and I’m quite happy how it turned out, but I want to continue with games that have more diverse gameplay.
No, I’m only working with the creator who was so kind to collaborate on this game. Her Fanvue page has much more content than my game (>500 pictures and daily uploads), but there are some exclusive elements in the game! :)
If this game is received and rated well, I’d like to do some free updates with more material from her in the future.
That’s true, there is currently a real-time wait to make it feel more real. As if you‘d actually chat with her every day. I might tweak the time based on feedback, but I like the concept to make this experience feel like a multi-day relationship instead of rushing through all the content in an evening.
