Thanks so much for playing - we're very glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks so much for playing!

Glad to hear the game was recommended to you - thanks so much for playing!

Thank you so much for playing and your kind words - it really means a lot to us!

Muchas gracias por jugar - nos alegra que te haya gustado!

Thanks for playing!

Thanks so much for playing and providing your feedback! It was curious to find someone who can relate to the neighbour noise we portrayed! We also appreciate finding out about the hack of hiding into a bathroom stall, we will keep that in mind. Thanks again and we are glad you enjoyed the humour :)

So great to hear - thanks so much for playing!

thank you so much we appreciate it! thanks for playing!

Thank you so much for playing and for your support!

Thanks so much for playing and for your feedback in the video!

It's already there!

Loved it. The ambience and setting is disturbing, and the puzzles are tight and well designed. Would love to see more of it!

Thanks for playing and for your feedback! Yeah the web export has some issues unfortunately.

Thanks for the kind words!
I actually agree about the starting setup. I'm working on balancing the experience thresholds so players can get to the action a bit quicker.

Thanks! Yeah there are some different enemies in the works, I have to see how to add them to feel fair since at later stages the game is pretty hectic.

Thank you for the feedback! The grind you mention will backfire quickly because difficulty is increased on time, not on stage. Stage changes barely affect the difficulty. Enemy types for example are based on time alone. If someone stayed on Denial for 20 minutes, Anger will feel completely impossible right after. In any case thanks for letting me know you felt this way, I'm working on balancing and will be sure to make this clear in future versions.

Thanks so much for the comment and the feedback! I've just updated the game to sync animation speed with movement speed, should feel much more responsive now with speed cards.

Hey! This looks amazing! Do the tiles you provide support autotiling? Such as blob/wang? From the images I think it should but I'd like to make sure.  It does! Didn't check the description, that's on me.

Thanks so much for the answer. Indeed the transparency looks a bit weird with this method, but your explanation was really helpful and the nodes are starting to make more sense as I delve deeper. Just editing the interpolation type of the texture changes the end result completely.

I'll experiment with the setup to see if I can find ways to accomplish transparency and post it here if anyone needs it. Thanks for making this tool, it's a joy.

This is amazing! I've been playing with it a lot and I can't get enough. One thing I don't seem to be able to do: Is there a way to set the paper/background alpha transparency in any way? After getting into the 4th or 5th node layer I thought it might be easier to just ask.

This game is as beautiful as it is infuriating. Really nice job! The minimal visuals help the gameplay a lot. I was pleasantly surprised by the sound design, very nice sounds.

Thanks for the feedback! I really really value all the points you've made.

The "bigger picture level design" point specially. It's the first time it's come up but I'll see how I can relocate certain things to make the world feel more cohesive between areas!

Thanks for the detailed feedback! The grass/spikes visibility is something I will work on for sure! A lot of people have brought it up.

Hi!

Played the demo for a bit and have some thoughts!

- The mechanics are tight and responsive. I always imagine that implementing boat/water vehicles are hard to implement since we're less used to them in real life than say cars/just running around. In this case, I think you did a great job at handling the controls. It reminded me a bit of the sea parts of AC Odyssey, which is the only aspect of that game that I enjoyed.

- Very very good 3D look, rare to see such polish in an indie title. The machine design and colors of the world are really well chosen and fit perfectly with the cartoony vibe.

- UI is very pretty to look at, but I found it a bit hard to navigate. Specially after the first battle when you start adding new pieces to the boat. It reminded me a bit of Borderlands. I imagine it must be hard because there's a lot of info to manage.

- Related to the last point: I love how you can customize and add new pieces on the boat/war machines, not sure how to call them.

You've got a great game here! I would love to play this in multiplayer with friends.

The art style is really stunning! I loved the choice of colours as it really ties with the theme. I agree with a previous comment about adding a hint for clicking on the cloud as I had to review the controls. But overall, really nice concept and experience.

The art style is absolutely amazing! Some of the mechanics were not very clear at first but the overall experience was quite cool. Thanks for sharing your experience through this lovely art.

Really well polished! I enjoyed the addition of elements and challenges but struggled to understand some tutorials right away. Really liked the minimal art style.

Very charming art style!

Thanks so much for letting me know! Glad it works

Hey, I've made an update to attempt to solve the input issue. If you give it a try please let me know.

Thanks for the candid feedback! Glad you liked it.

I will for sure take these into account and see how I can improve the game with them. Thanks for leaving a comment!

Reach out to me through discord (tissueinu#2246) and I'll do everything I can to help you out. I'm sorry that you're having this issue but I am completely unable to reproduce it on my own so it's really hard to fix.

Today I'll release a new versions with alternative mappings for the swipe attack to see if that helps.

In the meantime, if you're using a ps4 controller, you could try two things:

- Go to https://gamepad-tester.com/ and check if the square button is being triggered there.

- Use ds4windows (https://ds4-windows.com/) to make the PC think your ps controller is an xbox one.

But as I said, please reach out and we can figure something out.

Hey! Sorry to hear it isn't working. Could you provide more details of how you're playing? Are you using the Windows or Mac build?

It's not an issue I've come across but I would try reconnecting both the mouse and the ps4 controller and seeing if that works. If it still fails, you could try the demo out in Steam and seeing if that helps:

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1953670/Quetzal/

If it still doesn't work let me know and we can figure something out.

Thanks! I have to come back to this project, I still have some plans to rehaul it completely visually, as well as adding sound. Thanks for reminding me!

The idea was really nice! It's clear there was a lot of thought put into the levels!

Sorry about the mouse issue! I didn't even know that could happen, live and learn! Thanks so much for the review!

That was the original idea! I do plan on continuing this project, as I had a lot of fun doing it and cleaning the code would be a great lesson!
