Alternatively you can download the itch io app. My game updated itself automatically and my save file was still good. 

Dude, when i first lost her during the grocery shopping quest i actually lost my shit lmfao. 

My cecily died coz she rushed a group of skeletons (legit went Leeroy Jenkins) in the crypt during the strange energy quest. i quickly alt + f4'd and when i returned to the game my save was gone ;-;. rip lmao. should have told her to wait ;-;.

idk if it's safer to move a copy of the doom save to a different location when exiting the game, but hopefully that will work.  tho i have to restart the whole thing.

I created an account just to reply to this thread. I, as well, am guilty of pirating this game. I spent my whole Saturday playing it and had the best time of my life. I played the game as a virgin tho by save scumming. now i'm gonna try DOOM mode. anyway, I'm just here to say I will be making a promise to compensate the developer in the next coming days.  Kudos to the dev for this lovely gem.
