In the midst of these trying times as a dev, apparently only attracting colleagues on a site like this rather than real players is very much a thing. Plus, the genre of fighting is niche enough on its own, and the sex side of it is only encouraged by free loops edited over terrible sprite baselines, given the worst noises around, then distributed through shady video hosting platforms who have an open bias with you when you're daring to upload similar things to content that's already on that site, and you're shut down for MUGEN material. My problem there, however, is that I'm not popular and passed around as a name enough. In this day and age, unpopularity does anyone in that's trying to do the good'n dirty on a digital platform. So who's the bigshot, ToonPimp, then? Well, I'll indulge a smidge of the IRL biopic.
TP started out in adult comics. So, would anyone seeing this game be up for still image content? Admittedly, Fight Palace as a game hasn't really had any extra  promo materials involved, but my sin therein also goes back to involving good marketing.
I'm not beholden, as I realize, to any in-depth blog posts, but some articles I've read would probably say otherwise.

-TOON PIMP'S FIGHT PALACE-

Prologue: Reflections of Obsidian

Of long ago, ages past, now only into times of hushed rumination,

A proselyte of barely-dressed platitude rocked gently back in stony dimness, retreating to a space he wouldn't return, nor could his world once he was through with it. Importation, barriers, reason... What good were those commonalities to him, but the initial spark to find this land? Gavreck knew safe occlusion from the others, spurned to action now for the sake of tribal unity, the new free thinkers on this soil. His eyes darted about, fixating into spiral, gazing to realize a final reminder into an old Earth- a mirror of obsidian. He brushed aside his dark, lustrously braided hair, only to find blanketed eyes of inmost disaffection.

"Ursaidh... " he groaned. Could his father could ever know the dark dank he now dwelled in, by sight and mind?
"I'll love you always. But, my destiny cannot involve you. I hope you can forgive that, please."

In his mind's eye reverberated a commanding presence, a greenly figure shown only to himself- Froggou. It urged him forth to dig deep into Earth's very caverns. The journey here was long and arduous, and yet only the beginning. Yet, his followers were all ready for a new world alongside him. A company he would keep anywhere desired, if not for favor to their eldest leader, Ursaidh.

In one eye shone a glint of a legacy he'd enshrine to future generations.
But in the other, it stayed rooted in the trance of Froggou's majesty.

Chapter 1: Flumes of Man

Paddling with determined resolve, the journey was fraught with challenges and occasional losses. Some perished due to accidents with their log rafts and mishaps while navigating tumultuous rivers. Their crucial rafts often were treated disposably in their migration route along the Pacific. Well-importantly, Gavreck and his people were not alone in their journey. Alongside banks and shores astrew, they frequented dialogues with other cultures who, recognizing Gavreck's lineage as Ursaidh's son, offered their own assistance and furthered their long stride toward Paumanok.

"We'll find this land of ours," Gavreck had declared earlier that week, rallying their spirits. "To build a fortress, a bastion of strength against all challenges of man."

Ursaidh could not see his son now, for his journey had long ended, thusly so his son's could begin.

Were we harsh to our elders, or were they never keen to meet our point of reference? Cultures, and the collectivity, they'll all eventually vanish. Our struggle appears to be with the mark, conclusively, of our remembrance. A gusty breath shuddered in the night sky of Gavreck's mind.

A few months had passed. The routines were procedure now in the survival of the migration. Terrible, yet, it wasn't all so, due to the crucial assistance the other cultures often interjected. The losses were starting to creep on the collective number of our group. But finally, a shining beacon to the ordeal was now in sight, and Froggou's wills now menacing, encroached upon this river...

Dense foliage, rich soil marked this shoreline, promising respite ahead from the harsh journey undertaken. Despite their weariness, Gavreck's sizeable remainder knew this was their new home as the canopied coastline of Paumanok came into view. Finally, all rumors of these fertile lands were true.

Yet, as they approached larger mounds of clay mush at Paumanok's trails, they encountered a grim sight. Driftwood and bodies littered the half-sunken ravines, a silent testament to previous encounters. It was clear that others had attempted to reach Paumanok before them, and no one here was in a welcoming mood. The local tribes fiercely protected an artifact of worship and allowed no outsiders to set foot on the mores of this beach's persona, clearly now becoming a separated island.

Undeterred, Gavreck signaled for his crew to find a less hostile sand to disembark. They were met with wary eyes from the local inhabitants, who, despite initial conciliation due to Gavreck's lineage, soon rebuffed any attempts at peaceful dialogue. His words fell on deaf ears as the Paumanok residents were resolute in their defense of the artifact, willing to die rather than surrender it.

Angry, confused faces of all sizes and colors dotted this hill. A decent 30 or so, but what number truly counts here? Rough, pointed rocks adorned several pikes, picks, and staves. Gavreck had signaled his crew out, he only hoped they'd be safe. He would go it with this group now staring him down singly. Was it suicide, or destiny? It was for sure these men would only go with him after a proven display of power. Now out of options, it only fueled his vindication.

Chapter 2: The Transformation of a Long Culture

A clash of cultures and man's struggle for survival unfurled on the banks of Paumanok, with Gavreck alone facing indigenous inhabitants in small-scale skirmishes. Spears and implements were wielded with primal ferocity, air filling with tension and uncertainty with both sides vying for control. The shouted warning was clear and just—no crime was committed in his mind, but he was blind to the true cost of what was coming, caught within this storm of tribal assertion.

In the midst of this chaos, like a ghost over him, not his own judge of character, far away from his own father's principles, Gavreck was simply no longer himself. Veracity itself lain beneath him, unmatched, and the words of his othered were now unheeded. He glared brightly now with a menacing, almost palpable aura.

To walk in the remains of the bodies, he gathered the remainder of his Helvetians. His zealous efforts to create a new progressive land, were marred by the tempt of power and rule. Gavreck's once-small group had enslaved the island's people, even so far as executing those who resisted. Froggou, that had which once remained somewhat neutral of a presence inside Gavreck's mind, was now intimately, and abhorrently familiar with violence.

Under Gavreck's leadership, Paumanok underwent transformation, shaped by the imposition of new laws and a sense of order brought forth by these who settled. The once untamed wilderness now bore the mark of human influence, with clearings in the dense forests and signs of civility springing to root where cold emptiness now wafted. All marked by chains and commands, those of the Metoac were vilified by an unquestioning people who only understood rules of engagement.

Chapter 3: The Ancestrion Rises

As the settlers toiled to etch their presence upon this bountiful rock, Gavreck's fervor, driven by an insatiable thirst for dominion, began to mold Paumanok into a new visage: Long Island. The harshness of their journey and the challenges faced along the way were met with a landscape offering respite and sustenance, in lurid spite of those seeking to tame it. The villagers mined, their caves now mere tools in the service of Froggou’s desires, seeking its lost brethren.

Ancient forces, stirred now by mortal desires... and desperation. A great transformation would befall the Earth, its time drawing near, nearer still, until here on this day of reckoning, so then known only to its final orators.

Within the caves, a marvel of nature still baffling scholars, lay the essence of Froggou, entwined through the collective divisions of the Metoac since their arrival after the last glacial maximum.

As Gavreck dug deeper into the ore, he struck something stubborn beneath its surface, suspicions entangling within him. In that moment, he inadvertently unleashed dormant virions from the Froggou asteroid—an essence that had long awaited its time to bring forth New Life, to mutate select flora and fauna into anthro creatures. These atoms granted certain individuals combat talents once thought impossible, revealing too profound ignitions... of antimatter. To scholars, this xenocell would come to be known as the "Ancestrion", a name steeped in awe and wonders both.

Chapter 4: From a Far-Away Galaxy, the Future

Froggou was more than a mere deity— it was of the cosmos, a manifestation of the very fabric of existence and a sentient hive-mind from a faraway galaxy that sought to understand and influence the world of mortals. As Gavreck wielded its power to carve out his dominion to Long Island, he was both master and servant, puppet and puppeteer in a cosmic drama beyond his comprehension.

Underneath the center of these divined caves lay a long-dormant concentration of mystically charged atoms—luminous, yet fleeting. Gavreck believed the virion to be no more than imbued dust as it gathered to a single point, clustered, and vanished almost instantly in a dull, virulent flash. Gavreck barely caught a true glimpse. A new spark arose to the skies…

 …as were the vitriols upon Gavreck's ragged soul. Though still revered as their leader, he sensed a distance from his peers—mock deification for actions they questioned not. Yet none believed his words of what had truly transpired beneath those caverns, their minds content to bury the unimaginable.

So what, then, is a spark? A promise of life, a certainty of death. As you read these words, know that the unseen forces of this world move to their own understandings. Are we the true masters of our time, or do we acquiesce among the currents of forces alien to our ken? Gavreck never pondered it, though we may, leaving the notion to remain: shall we invite new creation, or push destruction ever onward?

Chapter 5: Emergence of Fight Palace Island

The fragments of Froggou merged with Earth's atmosphere, sparking the rise of Furries, while Froggou longed to claim other lives. Gavreck and his group, later known as the Mining Kings, distanced themselves from him as the truth of the Ancestrion's destruction faded into oral tradition, with only a few Metoac witnesses. With no remaining evidence, Gavreck’s final act was to grant nude amnesty on the land, and so the Palace’s castle walls were built, into stone legacy.

Lo, some events drown in pools of time, remaining unknown to any eye—neither this generation's nor the next. Their truths burst to dust, swept by winds of life, and lay still unto the void of oblivion between epochs.

Chapter 6: Descendance of that Which Was

Today, Fight Palace Island is a nudist haven, its shores stained by the echoes of Froggou's influence, which twisted the land and commanded Gavreck's rule centuries ago. Beneath the superficial revelry, the island hides a dark history—one built on sacrifice and power, where Froggou's victims still linger in the whispers of the wind. The true history remains buried, known only to those who dare to seek its deeper truths.

ToonPimp, a Bunnicula born of Gavreck's lineage and a rabbit Furry mother, stands as both heir and usurper of this fractured legacy. Profiting from ventures in cannabis production, remote management, and other clandestine proclivities, he funds, even competing in the Fight Palace tournament, turning a place of ancient suffering into a commercial spectacle. Yet, despite the wealth and fame, the shadows of the past continue to loom over the island, reminding all who enter that not everything is as it seems.

Chapter 7: A Combatant's Eternal Struggle

While clothing is optional on Fight Palace Island, the world has lived alongside Furries for millennia—some born, others made—with society largely indifferent to their existence. Ethical boundaries splinter to conceal an inconvenience to reality. Researchers now call the Ancestrion the Chronostrand.

Michelle, a shapely frog bounty huntress in pursuit of her latest target, enters the tournament with her own agenda of discovering Chronostrand's clandestine origins. But she is unaware that its intent is to ensorcel a dark omen upon the land, gathering its energies for longer than millennia.

Meanwhile, Dickory, devious tuxedo spectre of the TomTom Agency's felines, also enters the tournament as he stares into his own dilemma of blowing the lid on ToonPimp's investors or accepting a hush fund. What's rent to him when the world's still turning? And even he's now begun to see what sustains this grand lawn. The new, hip word around the block- Chronostrand. What could be the connection??

Chapter 8: An Ancient Tongue, Longing

As Froggou's sacrificial power reaches a zenith, Michelle faces a tough and ancient temptation much as Gavreck himself did: allow Froggou to fully imbue her with its planetary essence, or put her spite aside for Earth's forsaken gluttony?

In the calamity among tournaments, whispers of a great conspiracy begin to surface. The true puppet masters behind the chaos become clearer, and Michelle learns of powerful investors at the heart of society's madness. With stakes higher than she initially realized, she and Dickory find themselves on a collision course, soon channeling their fight to target the real powers that be.

As they navigate the looming treachery of ambition, the wounds of her struggles bloom larger, echoing the cycles of sacrifice and rebirth that encircled the ancestors of this Palace. The cycle may repeat after all...

Chapter 9: Our Nature Expanded/Divided

The public is unaware of the Mining Kings' roles in the initial virus outbreak, barely aware of their ancestry, all while their gods of vanity cite Froggou as Chronostrand, named initially as the Ancestrion. The conversal point through pure blood sacrifices has now created a partial fading, yet incomplete portal to Froggou's homeworld itself. If Earth is imbued fully, what remains of the freedoms we already resist-a hesitated choice, or a lost future?

Chapter 10: Of Blood and Seed

Froggou’s wills have quietly lured countless unnoticed, sensitive unfortunate individuals to its call over the centuries, whispering through time since the days of Gavreck’s deathbed.

As Froggou's victims had increased in number over the years, Michelle is only now its latest call of fate. With Earth hanging in the balance, Michelle is left with little reason to resist—her chance at a normal life, already shattered by her criminal record, seems impossibly distant. Stuck between bounties and the allure of a fight money payout that could change it all, she'd put off the tournament for as long as possible.

Thus, even the deadly risk of the fight seemed better than the constant grind of her crumbling life in Manhattan. Her family’s old tales of Froggou lingered in her mind, a reminder of the cosmic force always lurking behind her fate. And now, the question remained-so will she resist, or will she succumb, as all others had before her?

With the future of humanity at stake, Michelle is left with little reason not to succumb. Furries' names were dragged through the mud by journal outlets the past century over. Never granted higher positions of power, Mr. ToonPimp was an incredibly odd exception to the rule... but now it's do-or-die time for the fight money at the center of that fame. Whether all eyes are on him for the right reasons or not, he’s ready to flaunt the world the size... of his assets.

Epilogue: N(ucleotide) R(iot) G(ift)

\\//\\//Seen more often in fighters, others rarely harness the replete potency of its charged properties. While not all is fully understood about the biological particulate, it has always been a part of us. Roughly 8300 BCE, coinciding with early settled life, ‘furries’ began to emerge—cross-referenced with our current findings and supported by the absence of Furry fossils or DNA predating the beginning of the Neolithic. This study concludes that what appears to others as mystic power stems from protein mutations—spontaneously emerging from Chronostrand clusters and, through weak force stimulation, manifest to so then be accessed within the warrior's mind: NRG.\\//\\//

These are a few tips I've gathered for this ero-fighter project as it was being developed, in no particularly organized order:

At the moment in the sampler demo, some characters can link light attacks to light attacks, but you'll definitely end your combo sequence with a hard. Hard-enough attacks will return the opponent to neutral positioning on contact, or at least pretty far. Gunther can launch the opponent with his Cock Toss grab, but may also lift them slightly off their feet with Hard Crouch Swipe, which may logically be followed with a super move. Foxy Roxy can launch opponents with her Handstand Attack. If you recognize an opponent's "uppercutted," you may chase them by immediately jumping up as normal, and you'll gain extra airtime to hit them with.

A final note here for character tech: if you know a bit of how Ryu/Ken control in the OG Street Fighter II, it should actually apply to Gunther's move cancels.

Connect any opponent's move you've blocked immediately with your character's dodge-roll/hop/whatever when you have at least .5 of the NRG bar to BLOCK-DODGE. For your further use and encouragement of the technique, when your health is in Critical state (you'll know it from the flashing colours), you'll slowly regain NRG back to 1 bar's worth. Past that point, you gotta take the hits or gain your own bars, xon.
