Thank you! I'm glad that you enjoyed it :D

Got to wave 200

Sounds strange.. The camera is supposed to be attached to the player.

Does it affect the gameplay a lot?

Thank you!!

Probably not, seeing as this was a school project and I don't have the project files anymore😅 sorry!

Thanks!! 🤩🙏

Thank you so much! :D

Thanks!! I use Godot game engine which has a built-in way to make a game build in a single file. Basically it embeds all the resources into the executable, that's all I know about it though.

If using Godot, just tick the box "Embed Pck" while exporting to win, linux, etc.

Thank you for these nice assets!

I used them in my game, with proper credits of course. :D

One of the best simulations I've seen on Itch!

Thanks a lot!

Yes, I made all the graphics myself using Aseprite.

Thank you! And yes, I made everything myself.

This jam is found at https://godotwildjam.com/

Other Godot jams can be found from the Itch game jams-page.

Thank you so much!!

This comment made my day! Big thanks to the 6 year old, what a champ. :D

New World Record

Love to hear that! Cave Story was one of my biggest inspirations for this game.

Thanks!

fun game

I absolutely adore the style of this. Really nice looking assets!

Should be fixed now! You should still be able to play on your previous save file, this time picking up coins as well.

Sorry for the inconvenience and I'm glad you liked it otherwise!

gg, ez

I don't have plans to develop it right now... However, it was received well and developing the game was fun, so I'm definitely considering it.

This game looks amazing!

I'm in love with the graphics and the general vibe it gives off.

This sort of reminds me of Townscaper, it could totally work in a similar way where you could save and load your maps.

Ground elevation would also be a nice addition, although it's not an easy task to do.

Looking forward to updates! :)

Thanks! This was a difficult game to make. It took so long to make just the mine for example. I wanted to make more stuff so it wouldn't get boring but decided to stick to the plans and make this the final version.

I'm very glad that you enjoyed it! It's the most complex game I've made and the one I'm most proud of.

I will definitely keep on making games and improvements in the future. Thanks again for the feedback! :)

I wanted to make a prison cell for them to be "trapped" in. It kinda turned out unnecessary since there is no reason for them to be trapped there :D

Thanks!

I was so used to that platformer kinda feel in Celeste/Cave Story/Hollow Knight where you look up using the up arrow. I probably could've reworked it to be more efficient but again I only had 9 days of time.

Thanks for the feedback!

I was originally supposed to add a shark as the "kidnapper" but I didn't have enough time to feed that idea.

Thank you for the comment!

Thank you ! This is a really nice comment.

I also appreciate the criticism on the gameplay, since I definitely felt like it was lacking as well.

Especially if the game was longer, the fishing and mining stuff would have gotten boring.

Thank you! Godot is surprisingly powerful and easy to use for a free game engine.

Thank you! :D

This is my first 2D platformer. Now available in HTML5 to play on your browser!

It's very simple and to the point. Kill the bad guys and collect coins to win.

I would like any feedback, positive or negative if you have time to write some.

Thanks for the feedback! Back when I made the code I didn't understand saving and loading that well so resetting the level on death was the easy option. It's definitely not a feature I am proud of, but I've improved since. I probably won't update the game unless there is something even more annoying, since it's my first one and kind of in the archives already.

Thank you!

My sincere apologies for being this late, but I finally figured out the issue and updated the game accordingly. (google ver. yet to be updated)

You should uninstall the old version before downloading this one, since it might not update correctly.

Thank you and sorry for the long wait :)

Exporting and uploading games for iOS requires a lot of time and resources, e.g. a computer running MacOS and an iPhone with the latest updates. The Apple Developer fee is an annual 99$ as well.

I'm definitely looking forward to getting my games on the App Store, just not yet. Thank you for the question!

Thank you for the feedback! I am working on creating a tutorial and a more clear objective. Right now the game has no guides whatsoever so I understand the confusion.

Can you tell me what platform you are playing on? I've seen this bug once before and I really want to fix it
