I didn't notice they were a family! I'm suddenly SO glad I played though the end. I almost left the family down there :S
Congrats, this game is really polished for a jam, and the clear objective makes it feel more like a "real" game.
Wow. Such a well polished game is a huge surprise for a game jam. I just can wonder how much effort you put into if. Great work!
Brilliant game and I’m amazed it was done during the jam. Magnificent job.
Really enjoyed it!
One question though...
What are the chains doing there?
Perhaps this is a darker game than we thought...
I wanted to make a prison cell for them to be "trapped" in. It kinda turned out unnecessary since there is no reason for them to be trapped there :D
Thanks!
What an amazing game! The artwork is superb, the music and sounds are fantastic, and if there’s a better animated speedboat, I haven’t seen it.
Super sus on that shop keeper though. “Random” key, suuuuuuure.
Amazing work!
It looks awesome, and is very fun to play. The movement is a bit jittery, but other than that it's fantastic. In case anyone was wondering, you can get up here :)
Fantastic game! Didnt realize it'd turn out so dark though..
A fantastic gem!
I cleared it. This game is just too great!
I am very impressed
I would have preferred the up arrow to be jump and open doors I think, then the controls could have been simplified to cursor keys and an "action" which fished if you were in range of water, chopped if you were in range of a tree, or mined if you were in range of the rocks.
It's a very cute game though and the music is on point.
I was so used to that platformer kinda feel in Celeste/Cave Story/Hollow Knight where you look up using the up arrow. I probably could've reworked it to be more efficient but again I only had 9 days of time.
Thanks for the feedback!
Nice game. Good artwork and music. The theming is very coherent. Felt nice to zoom around in the boat :) The sway was very realistic. The game felt a little repetitive sometimes, but you want to complete it to know what comes after the key. Nice ending :) Overall good experience!
It took me a while to figure out how to get started because I didn't realize you could plant trees. Once I got into the game I was continually amazed at the amount of depth you were able to add into the game in just 9 days!
I loved this! And I was not really expecting that ending, very nice..
I agree with another commenter that this feels very polished. And it actually fed my OCD to destroy all blocks :)
Very nice game! Good job!
This feels like something I would've played as a kid on my Gameboy and I mean this as a huge compliment. It feels professionally made and extremely polished. It's also incredibly charming. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of the game-play but this is just a matter of taste and I'm sure people who enjoy this genre will love it.
The ending is amazing btw!
Thank you ! This is a really nice comment.
I also appreciate the criticism on the gameplay, since I definitely felt like it was lacking as well.
Especially if the game was longer, the fishing and mining stuff would have gotten boring.
Wow, awesome work, great game with so much to do, love the art and music, great job!
Utterly brilliant! So much content for one week of jamming. It came together so well. Loved the Easter egg ;p
Would definitely love to see where you could take this in the future!
What a charming game! Loved the atmosphere and the graphics - had an almost Animal Crossing feel to it. The controls were a bit tricky to figure out, but I was able to figure them out eventually.
Not sure if the bear kidnapped Konna's family and is holding them for ransom. Relaxing game anyhow.
I was originally supposed to add a shark as the "kidnapper" but I didn't have enough time to feed that idea.
Thank you for the comment!
