Thank you! Yeah sorry about that, today was the first time I watched someone else play the game and I saw them fall through the pyramid as well, for some reason it never happened to me :/

Hey, thanks for checking out my game! To progress, go to the room where you picked up the hourglass, then fast forward to the next cycle. You’ll now stand on a hill and can walk on a path towards the radio tower. Fast forward twice and you can now jump across the gap that was previously blocked by the tree. This puzzle was not very well designed, sorry… but from here on I hope it should be smooth sailing :)
Amazing puzzle game, really impressive! Perfectly on theme, great music, a very unique mechanic, looks really polished and has a good amount of levels too. I’m currently stuck on Tricycle 2 but will definitely come back to finish it. It’s definitely a skill issue on my part, but just so you know I did solve many levels by trial and error. But I can see that’s not gonna fly anymore in the later levels, I’ll have to figure out an actual plan. Might need to practice the earlier levels again actually.
Really awesome work, this definitely has potential if you want to turn it into a larger project / release it on Steam!
Unfortunately I can’t get it to run :/ Using the Linux build, executing it in the terminal gives “thread ‘main’ panicked at /home/runner/.cargo/git/checkouts/bevy_fundsp-75fbf76187ad91bd/4987207/src/lib.rs:158:31: Cannot find default stream config. Error: The requested device is no longer available. For example, it has been unplugged.”
Believe it or not, this is the first time I played a vampire survivors-like game. Well executed and fun! Some feedback:
- The music was nice once a new track got added on the second day!
- I think sound effects would have elevated this game even further.
- To be honest I’m not sure I can see the connection to the jam’s theme 🤔
An enjoyable experience, good job!
Good fun and well executed! I liked the humor, the animations, and the music was great :) The only possible bug I noticed was that sometimes it seemed the text popups persisted from a previous run for a while. For me personally it’s a bit too stressful to keep playing for an extended period, but I almost figured out a flow towards the end and got close to finishing. I almost want to suggest introducing each element individually so the player can learn, but I think the utter chaos in the beginning is the intended experience and I respect that. Great job!
Fun game! Some feedback:
- I could not get good at the movement, but that might be a skill issue on my part. I can see how a pro might zoom around without losing momentum. Edit: Just watched the dev gameplay video, and yeah this is not the kind of movement I have much experience with in games ^^’
- I love the spring enemies :)
- I often died out of nowhere, presumably by being attacked from behind.
- Unfortunately the audio didn’t work on my machine :( Terminal output says “evy_kira_audio::audio_output: Failed to setup audio: DefaultStreamConfigError(DeviceNotAvailable)”. I’m using the Linux build.
- There’s a couple of seconds of delay between pressing start and the game starting
- To be quite honest I can’t see the relation to the jam’s theme 🤔
I had fun with this, good job on releasing a game!
I love the physics of the black hole garbage worms(?)! This is a fun idea. A couple of points of feedback:
- I didn’t know the controls so in the beginning I just dashed into objects, trying to throw them at enemies that way. When I later tried it with a controller I realized you can “collect” the titular garbage, then it started being fun!
- I feel like the enemies HP might be a tad high (I only played on easy mode). After battling in an area for a while there aren’t many objects around anymore, so I had to go away, pick stuff up, and return to the monster. I felt like it would have been nice if they took fewer hits to defeat or if the walking speed was a bit higher.
- Interesting interpretation of the theme! Your ammunition becomes the enemies’ body, which in turn they use as ammunition themselves, don’t think I’ve seen this concept before.
Good job!
