Hey Emily!

It's such a pleasure to hear that you are thinking about the game and its upcoming update!

I decided to take a few more months to make sure that everything is just right. A team member also moved overseas this year and started a job, and the final member is studying their Masters, so a lot of things added to the delay, haha. However, I'm hoping it'll be completed in around 2 months, but with marketing and arranging a proper release, it could be a bit longer.

I can only show you one of character sketches that I've already made public. It's just a sketch, so the final version of her character is a secret for now. If you want to see the full designs, please look forward to the final game!

(Also the lifespans of the mushrooms have been altered in the final game so also look forward to that!)

Clean and simple. I enjoyed the gameplay and seeing the random game name XD

I loved the design, concept, music and sound effects! Very unique art style and the perspective was a good choice too! I think I'd recommend shortening the waiting time between customers and adding more dialogue variations, but this really good idea you can easily expand!

I love the art and the sound design and just the overall idea and implementation! It looks really polished and unique. The character designs were amazing and I loved seeing their range of expressions.

My only criticisms would be to either allow for a way to more reliably reduce your spirit meter, or an option to close the shop if you get enough money for your goal. Also a description of what the different medium tools did before you started playing would be helpful.

Amazingly fun copyright infringement free game! Love the sense of humour sprinkled throughout, especially the use of the Vine Boom and the character names being assigned to random people.

One comment is that after I picked my box, the box selection number at the bottom stopped changing, and I thought it would be helpful to make sure what number you were picking.

Very compelling gameplay loop in the same vein as Crypt of the Necrodancer which made me keep playing and enjoy it throughout. I think the upgrades are really well done.

I do think that the death system might benefit from being explained within the game itself.  I figured it out eventually but it took a while.

Sadly, I don't think Jan's dad is that supportive, so it's up to me to fill his shoes.

Hi there! Here is a quick step-by-step guide to playing the game:

1) Download it on your computer. Note: Make sure if you have a Windows computer, you download the Windows file. If you have a Mac computer, download the mac file instead. You say you've downloaded it already, so you can skip this step if you downloaded the right one.

2) Go to the downloaded file. It should end with ".zip".

3) Right click on it and "extract" the files. This will create a new folder.

4) Open that new folder and look for the ".exe" file. That's the game! Just double-click it to play.

Thank you for the comment! I'm glad you care for Button and the MC so much. It might be nice to have a sweet ending where the mushroom girls can live longer, but I won't be able to promise it. I know a lot of people have requested it, so I will consider it.

Hi, I can tell you a bit!

I realise now how ambitious I was in wanting to have both routes done by mid-year. I takes a lot more time than I expected. I also didn't anticipate how much I'd need to learn and redo. On the plus, I think I've gotten better at drawing and coding :)

Now that the story is more or less finalised, I'm working on replacing all the placeholder art assets with their final forms, playing the game multiple times and making sure I feel good about it. Then the music composer and I will work together on new songs, or even replacing old ones. After that, I need the extra time to do some drawings for marketing/make a trailer.

At this point in time, I think the expanded game will still come out within 2024, just closer to the end of the year. I agree with you that it's smarter (and healthier) to spend more time on it making sure it's a better experience for everyone.

I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble downloading the game. There is probably be something on your computer that is preventing the download. Unfortunately, I don’t think there is anything I can do for you.

Also, this game is geared towards a mature audience, so while it might look fun, it can be very dark as well, so please exercise caution! This game is not for everyone.

Hi there. To start playing the game, you need to 1) download the game, then 2) extract the .zip folder, then 3) start the .exe application in the extracted folder.

I really like your ideas! Thank you so much for the suggestion and inspiration! You describe it really well and I can almost see it in my head already. 

I've never tried making an Android version of anything, so it'll take some research, but I'd really like it to be accessible to anyone, so I'll see what I can do :)

Thanks for playing and for the idea! I Maybe I should try disable the ability to scroll back just for that section... I do want it outside of the challenge, as I honestly like that players can easily scroll back if they accidentally miss dialogue. It also makes going back to previous choices easier for finding endings.
