And we are done with accepting new submissions. Thanks to every single one who has participated. We will come back with the results within the next week.

This is the direct link to the asset pack:)

Ok we really need to look into this (the first one was supposed to be without expiration), but for now: https://discord.gg/TVCrBJRB

Have you tried asking on https://forum.godotengine.org/?

Tbh we are a Unity dev team so please don't mind that I had to ask ChatGPT to even remember what other options exist 😅 Here's what it said:

  • For Beginners: Start with Construct, Phaser, or GDevelop.
  • For 2D Games: Phaser, Construct, Cocos2d-JS, or MelonJS.
  • For 3D Games: PlayCanvas, Babylon.js, or Three.js.
  • For Customization: Three.js or PixiJS.
  • For Open-Source Enthusiasts: Godot or GDevelop.

If you are already working with one of the "bigger" engines, we believe that there should not be a problem. Everything we have done so far with Unity for HTML5 worked perfectly fine. And do know that we won't be looking at the project, just the product how it would work within an iframe.

Hi guys, we hope you are working away on your projects. Or in preparation. If there are any questions you would like answered, feel free to sk away!

Using them is in no way a requirement, but will help when the Judging Committee will asses point 7 of the Judging Criteria. First in line are the Avatars which represent a class system within the Spinly Universe. As you've noticed we focused on the lore behind the Seedling Seeker. But who you choose to use in your project is completely up to you and will not affect the result in any way.

Hi Brooks! It is totally fine to give yourself a certain degree of creative freedom. So the answer would be yes, you can use 3D assets. Be mindful of eventual performance issues, this is supposed to be a WebGL game after all 😉
Also, please refer to the Judging Criteria section on the jam page.
