Thank you so much for playing my Demo, and I'm glad the name fits the game. This was an awesome playthrough even if you didn't find the ending. I had a great time watching this. Thanks again Val, and You're Awesome. I can't wait to see you try it again, Cheers!!

Hello all, I've been really needing good feedback on my project. Please. So far there's only been one person to actually find the end my demo. Out of 150+ people that have played it, and I've made a guide for people to look at. I've even watched playthroughs on YouTube that haven't been able to handle it till the end. They all end with, to be continue... A little overview; this project is inspired by the Silent Hill game series in FP, and it's not just a bunch of jump scares. There is a lot of searching for things (clues, items, etc.) and solving or figuring out puzzles/problems. I've put tons of time into this Solo project, and I just really need feedback before I put it on Steam. I'm looking for people to play it and give me feedback about some things or any really:

Does it feel like a Silent Hill game??? (atmosphere, environments, tension, creatures, etc.)

Is there a bug/issue that breaks something I don't know about, making it unable to be finished for some???

Are the puzzles to hard, or are things to Tormenting to figure out???

Is this really to scary for people to finish??? (some reviewers have said)

Any issues, bugs, glitches, etc. I mean if not that's awesome. You can leave your feedback here, or via email. Thanks for the time.

This is the link to the Demo page in question with some screenshots to go with it.

Hope you Enjoy,

The Twisted Monk

Thank you very much, I'm really glad you enjoyed it. Congrats on finding the end, I'll be in touch via email soon.

I guess Torment was the right name for it :)

Very cool video and playthrough, thank you. Till the next one, Enjoy.

(1 edit)

The demo is pretty big, an hour plus. It's depends how you play I guess :) Thanks for the time and good luck.

This is going for one of the most Twisted and Terrifying games coming out. Picture Perfect: Torment is truly one of a kind, and you've got to play it to understand. Solo Developed and Designed with a Silent Hill feel that brings you back to what real terror is...

A few Quotes from the many that have reviewed it.

"Most Twisted, Disturbing Game of the Year!!! It's a Contender."

"The Most Unique Game in a Very Long Time... It's Silent Hill with a New Twist."

"Disturbing to say the least! Nightmare Fuel if I'm honest and I Never want to go back..."

"It gets in your Head, under your Skin and stays with you...Even after you turn it off?!"

If you like to be scared you have to try this.

https://twisted-bliss-gem.itch.io/picture-perfect-torment

Hope you Enjoy.

Thank you very much for the feedback, I do know of some bugs but didn't know about the drawers or brightness slider. It's nice to know what needs to be worked on, trying to trouble shoot everything being a solo dev is hard. This was my first ever try to make a game, really glad you enjoyed it. I'm glad you didn't let the size of the download discourage you from trying it. Off to watch the video. Again Thank You.

It's been a bit since I've Posted anything around here so here it goes. Been working on a new psychological horror game that should be done soon. I'm not giving any details yet, but I will give you a few screenshots of a party room I've built. Some lighting, and reflection effects before and after test shots. The actors are ready to be put in, and will be in a day or so.

Let me know what you think, Enjoy.

Horror games have become a jump scare fest, one after another. Want something different for a change? Let's Twist things up a bit. How about this...You're in control of all the Scaring in this one. Maybe Trapping, or Killing of wondering souls is more your thing, that's fair game here too. Do what you wish to them, and show them what it's like to be in your shoes...Stuck in a Horror game. Let's see how they like it.

A replay-able single player Demo that was made in 28 days as a Solo Project.

Time to play: About 10-15 minutes, or for as long as you want to keep playing.

https://twisted-bliss-gem.itch.io/deceptive-perception

In need of some feedback to see if this is something I should keep working on, or move to the next project. That's where you guys come in... Could you guys try this short demo, and really let me know what you think. Good, Bad, Ugly, whatever.

Is it a Keeper?

Or

Is it a Sleeper?

Thanks,

Update version 3 is here!!

Hello Everyone,

The Twisted Monk here, and was trying to get your thoughts on a pretty weird game demo. Come meet Gorgie and experience the very odd town and the folks that live there. This is a weird Solo developed Cartoonish style Spooky Search-n-Find Adventure Puzzle demo. With a bit of customization thrown in. This game is very hard to describe in words, it's something you have to play for yourself. It's like a game, inside a game, with a game inside...If that makes sense.

Basic controls, basic game premise, easy to follow storyline. Just Not so basic style, idea, or gameplay. Still early in the development stages, but I think it's ready for demo. It's not perfect, but not terrible either.

Hidden Horrors Game Page

Any feedback would be very welcomed. Thanks, and Enjoy.

Thanks and Hope you Enjoy,

The Twisted Monk

Very cool, I'll check it out. I'll probably join in, and hope for the best. I did like the first one, and most of the people were pretty nice. Thank you for the invite and for the donation for Just One Night ☺️. I look forward to seeing you there. Maybe I'll win...lol 😂

I'm taking a break from Just One Night for a bit, until I get some very needed Feedback. I just put in a big update it about a month ago or so now I guess, and removed the game Installer. So it's just download and play now.

This new "Project" I'm working on is something outside my comfort zone, and it should be ready for demo here soon. I'll be posting more about it here, as the game gets closer to being Demo ready. Glad to hear from you again it's been awhile, hope all is good.

Enjoy

The Twisted Monk here,

I'm Badly in need of Feedback on newly Updated Demo... Any of you good people willing to give this huge project a good run through? Or is this project to big for Itch? Is it any good? What needs worked on? All questions I need answered Solo Developed for about 10 months now (give or take a week), and just wanted to give everyone a Free Demo. This is not your everyday horror game...This one really takes things to a new level of terrifying. Besides the events in this project really happening... The atmosphere is incredible. Not a "Walking Sim" either, just putting that out there. Don't be put off with the size, it really is worth the look at least.  This is pretty much a full game, just limited to "1 hour" of game play (in real time). I would really like some feedback before I go farther with this, there's a Trailer video below. Give a look at Just One Night - the Initiation - Demo page here on Itch.io, and let me know your thoughts. Leave a comment, send an email, however you would like too. I Really Need The Feedback Guys...

Thank you,

The Twisted Monk

Thank you very much.

Thank you so much for the time to play it through, and to make a video... You're Awesome Val.

Glad you enjoyed this "Project" of mine, and an update will be coming soon to fix those issues. Also I'm going to add more interactable items, puzzles, cut scenes, scares, etc. to this in the next update. Thanks for pointing them out to me :-). I really enjoyed watching this video, and all your other videos too. Your not the (dramatically scared for views) kind of person, I like that, and I'm glad you are, who you are. It's nice to have some support for this "Project" and to see if others will like it as well. Great playthrough Val.

Thank You Very Much, and all the Best for your New Year.

The Twisted Monk

Thanks Warbird for giving it the time to do a playthrough, that's really cool. Glad you enjoyed it.

This was really done well, I like the point-n-click style. I enjoyed playing this, it was different nice work.

Thank you, glad you took the time to try it out. "Lenard" is from a much bigger "Project" I'm working on, and If you enjoyed this maybe try my other Demo. Thanks again.

Hello PlayZodi,

It's Really Cool to see my game played on YouTube, hope you enjoyed it. I enjoyed watching you playthrough it, and the "Manny" is also pointing at something... But it goes away after a minute. I put a Hint Guide to view or download on the game page for all to look at, if their stuck. I'm working in the game now, making the "Keys" easier to see. I'm putting in Subtitles too, and a better cut scene then him just sitting in the car, lol. I'll update it after the Jam is over, this is my first Game Jam so I don't really want to cause problems with that.

Thank You PlayZodi,

The Twisted Monk

Thank you Santapooh,

Really glad you enjoyed the short demo, and first time in a Game Jam. The 2 week time frame was... Lets just say, it wasn't easy.

Hopefully you'll stick around for more  of my projects, and you may never know what I'll Create Next...

I just posted a -Hint Guild- for Si Alpha Ever Dawn, and should be on my Game page as a download and a Google read file.

Everything you'll need to find those Keys will be in that guild, including spoilers. Just a heads up..

Really Hope this helps you out, if you have any other issues just let me know.

Thanks,

The Twisted Monk

The Twisted Monk here,

Letting everyone know that I just released a short Prelude demo called "Si Alpha Ever Dawn". Solo Created in 2 weeks for the SenScape Adventurous Game Jam.

An H.P. Lovecraft-ish inspired 1st-Person Thriller/Horror experience. Enjoy a Twisted day of an "Everyday Joe", doing the "Everyday Job". His name is Lenard, a 19yr old that has his future all planed out. Well, his future is about to change forever... Follow Lenard through his normal day of house painting, it's just another day for him. Although for him, this might be a Dawn that Never Ends...

Si Alpha Ever Dawn's game page can be found here @

https://twisted-bliss-gem.itch.io/si-alpha-everdawn

This is a Prelude to "Just One Night -the Initiation-" a much bigger "Project" that I'm working on right now. Also available here on Itch.io @

https://twisted-bliss-gem.itch.io/just-one-night-the-initiation

Now I'm a "Noob", and this is only my second time using the Unreal Engine so. I think it might be worth checking out, and maybe you'll even like it.

Thanks,

The Twisted Monk

Hello McQuigan,

The Twisted Monk here with a really simple question about the Senscape Adventurous Game Jam.

How do I Summit my game for this Jam?

Sorry if this was not a good place to reach you, but the  only way I have. This is my first ever Game Jam, or anything like this. (If you didn't know already lol) I don't want to miss the Deadline, and any Information on this would be great.

Thank You,

The Twisted Monk

EDIT: I see how you summit the entries now.. I've Been up for way to long, Sorry.

Okay I Understand, and I wouldn't use assets of others without giving them Credit for it.(They made it) I want to use all Original assets, but if in a pinch if we could.

Thank You,

The Twisted Monk

The Twisted Monk here,

This maybe to early, but was just wondering if there will be any Asset Limitations with this Jam?

Are any of  the Unreal Marketplace Assets/Unreal Engine Content aloud to be used, or should we make them from scratch? (Meaning things like: Sounds, Lighting, Effects, etc.).

Either way I'm happy to be able to join in on the fun, and Thank You for the invite.

Best of Luck to Everyone.

The Twisted Monk

Thank You I'll look into that, I've never done a Game Jam. Sounds fun.

The Twisted Monk here,

Looking for Feedback on a "BIG PROJECT" from a Solo Dev., and Just One Night -the Initiation- is the "Project" Demo. Experience a "Real Event" driven story, in a Chillingly "Real Environment". A Thriller/Horror "Project" that's NOT based around "P.T.", or "Pop-Up Scares". I'm going for a Different kind of Scary, or a Different Style of Scary. Still early in development, so not everything is perfect. I'm interested in what you guys think, and Feedback is what I need to make this "Project" even Better.

Project Page Link https://twisted-bliss-gem.itch.io/just-one-night-the-initiation

If any Videos or Streams are made of this Demo please give me a Heads-Up, Link, or Let me know... Thanks.

Some Feedback Questions that Need Answered:

Should "Players" be able to Interact, or Talk to the other Roaming Actors?

Is the Audio Volume to Low, or High, and what Audios need Tweaked?

Is the Story, Environment, Gameplay Immersive?

Does this "Project" do it's job of making you feel Scared, or Uneasy?

Leave some Comments, Answers, Ratings on my game page.

Happy Holidays Everyone,

The Twisted Monk

So far I'm 6 months in (Teaching myself the Programs as I go), and hoping to have it ready for Early Access by Halloween 2022. Fingers crossed. It is a lot of work for being a Solo Dev, and it's my First Time using the Unreal Engine. So far I'm happy with the results. I do wish people would give some feedback on my Demo, and tell me what they think. No biggie I guess. Hope you enjoy your day.

Thank You for answering with a Comment, you're the first. That's how I feel about the "Something" I can't see, the Imagination gets to run wild. That's the scariest for me too. Trying to find out what the majority of people think, so I can make some of the scariest events I can think of for my "Project".

 Thank You again.

Will removing the checks in the Metadata, Classification, Audience & Content. Section?  Will that fix this Issue? Sorry really new to this. I would really like anybody to see the game or my profile, not just the people Signed In. Thanks.

(1 edit)

I'm a new Publisher to Itch.io, and I've read all the FAQ, and Documents, but I still have a question. I made my Profile 11 days ago, and Published my game 6 day ago. Neither my Profile nor my Game is showing in search in anyway, unless I'm Signed In? Wondering if I can get information about this, or have I missed something? The name of my game is Just One Night -the Initiation-

Thanks

Wow, Sorry. Didn't Want to have the same topic over and over here. SORRY.
