100% agree, I have actually already made a npc in the merc group to act as a guide to help you. He is the dude that looks like a bartender, named Artem. Though you need to be on version Alpha 2 or Beta 1. for that. Also, I am actually currently trying to do a UI overhaul. There was a bit of an overhaul going from Alpha 2 to Beta 1. But I also just released a patch that adds most of the UI improvements to the Alpha 2 build. So some context for you.
I have never went through an did a "Proper" bug testing playthrough of the game. I was mostly just using dev console. So when you are on the dev version of a Renpy game you have access to the console. Essentially everything that happens in a game is under the categories or "Labels" or "Screens" So say this quest step begins at "x" label. Instead of plaything through the entire game from scratch after each update to properly test things I was just using the dev console to jump to the new labels. I could then see ahh cool that works... moving on.
But during my full proper playthrough I did yesterday. I noticed there were 20+ random bugs that I missed. As well as labels that the game could not access. Quest dialogues that were not registering. Wrongly named image and video files. (Usually 1 letter off or even just 1 letter capitalized that should'nt be...) But yea due to that playthrough I fixed a lot of bugs. The big issue was that My version of the game is the Beta 1 version. And a lot of these bugs were from way back in Alpha 1.
So how could I make a patch using my files, that would patch the old game, without adding in all the new stuff to the old game?
Well, there is no clean and easy way to do that unless you keep all your scripts fully compartmentalized from each other. Which I don't...
So I decided to meet in the middle. One of my patrons suggested just releasing a patch for the Beta 1 players. Issuing an apology then posting the Beta 1 update a week earlier than normal.
I did not like that idea, not because it would give out free stuff a week early. I don't care about giving out content early. Hell I give away paywalled updates all the time to people that just have the balls to ask for it. My issue was that it would be like giving the middle finger to all the other players, which lets be real thats the vast majority. I mean I have 15 paid patrons, and this game has 25,000+ downloads just on itch.io. That's not including the 21,000 from my patreon, or the 30,000 from f95zone. Now how could I be ok with helping only 15 people knowing there are all of those out there just getting fucked?
It's not me I can't do that. So I set out to try to make a version of the patch for both paid and free players. Then I added in a bunch of the improvements of the Beta 1 update without adding the new character Pursena's files.
That means adding the new Office, Adding the new UI elements, The Book instead of the PC, the newly added random npcs. The trophy system, the balancing changes. And a bunch more. I mean fuck giving out stuff a week early I just handed out damn near the entire update nearly a month early.
Though the Beta 1 version does still have a few things the Alpha....3? Version does not have. Like the pursena update, and the newly added positions for existing Harem members.
My only complaint is that I do not have a way to do this patch update for the Mac and Mobile players. Which idk if you know this but the mobile players make up nearly half of the playerbase. So I am very not happy about not being able to help them.

I think it does work with that? All I know with how itch works is that it sends the money to my paypal. So maybe its an issue on their end? If you want to make sure it the game works when you download it. I would recommend getting the version on patreon. Mainly because itch combines new and old versions and that can sometimes break things. The amount of comments I have been having where the game just doesnt work for people in PMs is quite a bit. But it is all down to itch.ios version when I send them links to the version on f95zone or the patreon it works perfectly fine. Which is also why I have been trying to link to my patreon content more often as I can control that better. Just an FYI the current system is 10$ a month get the update 1 month before it goes free. 5$ a month is 2 weeks before free. 2$ a month - you get the update 1 week before it goes free. And just being a free patreon member you will get the game 2 days before it goes free for other places like f95zone and here on itch.
Well the chapter 8 I am quite literally writing the script for right now lays the groundwork for the ending. There have been 2 endings for this story in my mind from day 1. I am going to try not to spoil too much. But 1 ending would be Misaki and Ryou leaving the circle together and having a family. While Akari joins full time. ending 2 would be Misaki leaving Ryou. Then depending on more player choices destroying the circle from the inside/leading a new circle. I know its kinda late into the story for branching routes but I do feel like player choice is a big deal in a game like this so that the game can end the way you want it to. I am not sure how many endings there will be due to the branching paths to the end, Though in my mind the "good" end will be where both mc and ryou leave and start a family together. If I were to take a guess I would say it will be somewhere between 3-5 endings minimum. As chapters 9 and 10 are the planned endgame but they will be released in parts as I will be doing smaller more frequent updates for those as they will be a couple steps towards all possible routes at a time. I have changed my chapter style already into a scene format, for example the titles for chapter 8s scenes that I have planned so far are (Though I only have finished scripting the dialogue for the first 3 scenes so far....)
Scene 1 - Misaki's Apartment
Scene 2 - At the swingers club
Scene 3 - VIP Room
Scene 4 - Chat at the Bar
Scene 5 - Kishimotos Test
Scene 6 - Return to the Club
Scene 7 - Ragnarok
So during chapters 9 and 10 I plan to make these smaller releases scene by scene instead of chapter by chapter since there will be so much to script and code on my end making all the possible branches for each one of the players choices. I mean its either do that or release chapters at a much slower pace than I currently am. Which I am not a fan of as the idea behind this game is to start a community to have a starting platform when going into the second game. I feel like if I take too much time between releases players will forget about this game and ignore future chapter releases thereby shrinking the audience. Right now it has around 1000 players that are downloading each chapter as they come out. Though no where near that many players on itch.io I am unsure why its much less popular here than it is on f95
Just an FYI I am currently working on chapter 8. Which is where I am introducing a Futa character just for you. Though as I know there are some players that are not interested in that. I am making each scene with that character 2x. 1x where she is futa and one where she isnt. There is also a toggle in the options for players to view the futa content or not.

I guess maybe I shouldn't be asking those questions until we get further into the territory of my own writing since you have only played 1 chapter of my own writing huh? Well hopefully you play again when chapter 7 comes out and give me your feedback on it. I am still hard at work on chapter 8 but it is going to take longer to come out as chapter 8 will finally have audio so that is a whole new thing I am trying to teach myself.
Oh well that just shot down my planned idea for the next game lol. The current plan was to appease a wider audience by making the isekai harem style game. Also to answer your question or reply to your thought. Yea the game is very kinetic. I havent added any choices into the game at all yet. Though I am planning on adding a couple into chapter 8 which will change the ending of the game and the entirety of chapters 9 and 10 based on what you do in chapter 8. But as I said in a comment before on one of these sites not sure which anymore tbh but I have said it a few times. I started this game with the only real intention being to learn how to make one of these renpy games as I had no prior experience in it at all, no experience with animations or getting rendering anything of any kind. So this game was meant to slowly understand how everything works and use it as a stepping stone for whatever game I make next. While also trying to build a community that enjoys it. Overarching goals were Start Making game>Build community>Find out what people like and dont like>Build second game based on what people wanted to see>grow community>Repeat. Yea the source material was kept ambiguous on purpose. TBH it was over a fear of being sued. Though I don't think it is likely. The source material for chapters 1-5 is a Hentai? Manga? Doujin? I am unsure what you call porn comics? Called "Daigaku Shingaku de Issho ni Joukyou Shita Kanojo ga Circle no Senpai ni Netorare Ochiru made" by Dashimakitamago Also yea I did get a bit to heated in that comment. It was part of being overworked, stressed, and turning into an insomniac. Which is why I took the break from the game that I am just now coming back from.
Chapter 1 and 2 Remakes are included in the Chapter 5 release. The original chapter 1 was made with 0 exp so it looked pretty bad, then chapter 2 was only 2 days experience so it didn't look much better. The animations flow a fair bit better in the remakes. The story itself is the same either way. But chapter 5 contains 1-5 and the remakes.

I agree with the inside of the vagina walls thing. I was trying to play with something new at the time. I found a model in KKS that was a slice of the inside of a vagina, Then I took essentially a dildo and blew both of there sizes way up so they would be easier to control and made it a timeline animation. I would have looked a lot better if the texture of the model would match the KKS models. I think its a model someone created and added to the game though. I may try it again sometime like hiring someone to make the asset for me in unity or something. Just thinking outloud at this point.
I plan on it, my next game wont have NTR, this game is my way to learn how to use the tools, and get better at it since this is a thing I am doing on my own. I am self teaching how to code and script using python. That is why I have asked people to focus less on the dialogue/story and more on the animations/scripting. Like me personally I used to think some of these games were hot like I'm not gonna lie I have beat it to a few renpy games in the past. But now all I see when I play one is the clipping/animations used/bonemods stuff like that. I don't find any of these cg games as a turn on anymore. Kinda funny how when you peek behind the curtain of these things it completely changes your mindset. The other thing I have learned that I find hilarious is people that see the tag NTR and do not even try the game they just throw out slurs and hate. It's hilarious to me. It's a game that people use to beat off too, nothing more. Playing a game with x or y tag does not make you gay/straight/cuck/or anything. The players that feel the need to only play Harem games are the most basic sheep of the world as they are the ones that are either A. Single losers who will always be alone. or B. Someone who is actively being cucked IRL without even knowing its happening to them. It's all kinda hilarious. Like I said originally though, in one of the older devlogs, I was following the dialogue and scenes exactly as they were meant to be from the source material for chapters 1-5. As the Doujin only has 5 chapters. So chapter 6 and 7 are made by me and the games story completely changes. It stops being NTR. It becomes a thing where there are essentially a group of 15 people that all just fuck each other. Misaki doesnt cheat on Ryou anymore as he is fucking one of the other chicks right next to her. So idk what you would call that but to me that is Swinging. My hope in changing the story that way would be the losers that are like "AHHHH!!!! NTR!!!! KILL IT WITH FIRE!!!!!! AHHH!!!!! AN OPINION OTHER THAN MINE!!!!! AHHHH!!!" I mean lets be real here that is every single one of the games 1 star reviewers to the letter. But I have ranted long enough. Thats perfectly acceptable, as I didn't write the story. I am more concerned with what you thought of the character designs, animations and renders. The entire point of this project is for me to learn how to use the tools and be able to transfer that knowledge onto other future projects. The next game I plan to make will be in a few months, I am thinking about making a harem game but idk the market seems incredibly saturated with them and nothing stands out and gets my attention. What kind of story would you be interested in playing? I can add it to my notes for the future project ideas.
Thanks, but that is why I have been telling people when judging the game focus on the animations, renders, and character designs. As those are the main things that are in my control. I am slightly changing the story now to make Ryou less of a cuck using thought bubbles and stuff that were not in the doujin and also making him cheat on masaki in chapter 3. I also dropped some hints that maybe he hasnt been faithful at his school either, and since in the doujin he doesnt really have any personality at all, I am moving him more towards the jock bro stereotype to make people feel less bad for him, and more like hes getting what he deserves. The entire main plot in a nutshell is all about a girl realizing how fun sex can be and experiencing new things that makes her fall more and more into lust and corruption thinking more with her orgasms than with her brain or heart.
The game is being based off of a currently existing doujin. The doujin has 5 chapters but was left open to add more. I have been changing bits here and there to get the player less emotionally involved in one character and and more in another so on and so forth. Also making it less NTR feeling and more Sharing by in chapter 3 Ryou also starts having some time with the ladies. But the reason I bring all this up, is currently there is no futa characters in the doujin but anything is fair game after chapter 5. I would like to turn this into my own story, that is built by the community on my discord using voting polls to vote on kinks, characters, and plot threads. So what I would recommend is try the game see what you think of it so far, if your not into it pass on it. If you see potential try chapter 3 on my patreon or wait the 2 weeks for it to go free. (Also as chapter 3 is larger than 1gb I don't know how I will be able to upload it on here as there is a 1gb cap?) but chapter 3 doubles the entire existing story in the first 2 chapters because of some of the additions I made.
