Clicking "Embrace Failure" should start a transition back to the main menu. I will also add an exit to desktop option to that menu.

There should be an X icon at the top tight corner of the main menu. Does that not function?

See the most recent update! Let me know if there are any issues with the build. :) Enjoy!

Thanks a bunch for the kind words and suggestions! It was a lot of fun seeing you play this on stream. :)

Neat! Love the neon aesthetic overall. The volume did blast my ears out on first launch though.

I think some of the difficulty will feel better if you put a few small jumps just before big jumps, kind of like warming up or getting a running start. There is a particular checkpoint that has a 3-3-2 jump within a second of spawning that I got stuck on for a bit because I couldn't prepare myself for the timing fast enough.

Otherwise nicely done!

I ran out of mushrooms to eat. Or at least I think so. I was having trouble seeing at that point. I certainly wasn't tripping though, because the talking tree told me so.

Needs more shrooms / 10

This was very fun! LOVE the music and the concept of being the flash. Would love to have some additional graphic effects like a trail behind the player, showing where they've been.

Terry loves you too.

He may jump to spare his ankles, and slide to preserve his noggin, but Terry goes fast just for you.

His flavor was concocted of the finest spice and aromatic-est herbs. He was seasoned in the rains of doubt, and simmered in the heat of dedication. Seared by failure, but tender with success.

A lifelong lesson...truly. Happy new year!

Extremely fun and engaging!

My only complaint is that the dash mechanic accelerating you in the direction you're moving needs maybe one extra level to tutorialize it before getting to the other challenges.

Otherwise, fantastic!

Thanks! Passing the vibe check is always a high priority.

I completed my redemption arc.

Had me hooked instantly. I stopped in the middle of cooking dinner to figure out the puzzles. Crazy good design!

WOW this was a great experience. I adore the visual style and soundtrack in the background. This reminds me so much of artistic maze books I used to spend time with as a kid.

I do wish there were more obstacle types, or some kind of message for each level. Maybe certain levels change when you pass through other levels, or interact with objects in those levels?

Very well done!

Thank you so much! Games have gotten me through a lot of bad times in life and it feels good to be able to give back to that.

Working through your game as well, I love the visual style! Will rate soon. :)

Loved seeing you play this on stream! Glad you enjoyed it. :) Thanks for all the suggestions!

I might turn this into a longer-term project, but there are some major code cleanups that will have to be worked out first. That being said, there really are not enough couch co-op games out there anymore.

Very cute! Needs an equally cute music track. Jingle bells in the caves remix?

Auto-run is now added! :)

Reuploaded with a small QoL update:

-Disabled Sticky Keys prompts popping up on Windows device
-By popular demand, added option to toggle auto-run by double-tapping the run button

Enjoy!

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it. :D

Sweet!

Using the D key simply comes from comfort using the WASD key standard. I opted to go without auto-run originally because the intent was to give the player the option to slow down if things got too intense. I could add another key as an auto-run toggle, or make it a menu option.

There are a few obstacles that have slightly longer or shorter hitboxes, but I need a clear way to communicate that visually and tighten up the hitboxes on the player to make sure there are no "invisible hits" when the character stands or lands.

Cute! Seems to be a bug that disables your ability to jump if you press the spacebar before the intro animation plays.

I adore the aesthetic here, and the mechanic of using the light to manipulate the ships works really well. Wonderfully done!

Good stuff.

I really like the concept behind this! Some kind of directional arrow pointing to the closest cancer cell would be extremely welcome.

Great sound effects. :)

A great addition to this would be for every time the train hits a major bump, a random set of tiles on your current panel get flipped. The music really gets you hyped up!

There does seem to be an issue with UI scaling. I couldn't see the Play button until I went fullscreen.

Very cute. Love the piano key sound effects when you walk!

Beautiful. Majestic. Only took me 3 seconds to go flying off a cliff. 13/10. Don't hibernate on this.
