I absolutely love the artstyle and overall vibe, the slower pace and music give it this otherworldly feeling that just suits it so well. Some tricky parts but nothing too frustrating, great job!
Thanks for the feedback, glad you liked it! I tried to find the right balance between too hard and too easy, but 72 hours isn't that long ahah!
Haha as someone who faced a similar problem with time, agreed!! 😂
Very fun game!!!
I like 3D platformers
Thanks for playing! Glad you liked it! :)
This is a beautiful game, the art style and ambient audio lend themselves to a really surreal experience. 3D platformers are tricky to get right, and I thought with the perspective this was going to be a nightmare to play, but I think you pulled it off (the top down view was definitely a nice feature). The non-linear aspect of the levels was also a clever idea and fit the theme well. Great job!
Thanks a lot for the feedback! Yeah most of my time was spent testing the platforming. Glad you think I pulled it off!
Really good atmoshere and graphics, but for me it's a little bit too hard heh
Glad you liked the atmosphere! The important part is you tried! :)
Thanks a bunch!
WOW this was a great experience. I adore the visual style and soundtrack in the background. This reminds me so much of artistic maze books I used to spend time with as a kid.
I do wish there were more obstacle types, or some kind of message for each level. Maybe certain levels change when you pass through other levels, or interact with objects in those levels?
Very well done!
Great ideas! If I ever decided to work on it a bit would, I will certainly explore those!
wonderful game. It is rare to see such a really great atmosphere.
Thanks for game!
Thank you for your kind words! :)
Really love the artstyle with the shading and simple shapes. I think the addition of the top down view also really helps!
Thanks! I tried to keep everything simple so I could really get the game polished!
And the top-down view was a late addition, trying to find the right perspective was tricky glad it helps!
The art style reminds me of Sable and I love it. Really interesting concept, the alternative camera angles are a really big help that makes the game so polished!
Sable was a big inspiration, I really love the art style of Moebius and more recently Kilian Eng so tried to create an atmospheric game that could be part of their worlds!
Thanks for playing.
I really like this. Extremely polished for the time-scale, the music really fits, just a shame there's no sound effects, but wow, this is outstanding. Love the visual aesthetic. Did you make the shader?
Even though I frustratingly fell down a few times because of the perspective, I kept wanting to carry on. Lovely work.
Thank you for your kind words, the shaders are from the Flat Toon Kit. Yeah wished I had time to add more sound effect, but spent a lot of time on finding the right position for the camera.
I had a similar thing for my game, getting stuck trying to figure one function out.
Yours feels the most polished I've played so far though
How do you come up with something this polished and with an atmosphere as immersive as this in 72 hours? I really like the isolated feel of this, congrats.
Lot's of practice and failed projects! :) Thanks a lot.
The shader you made for this is incredible. Also the model for the end is great.
Unfortunately, the shaders are the only thing I didn't make :( They are from the Flat Kit : Toon and Water Shaders from the asset store. In 72 hours I couldn't imagine creating such beautiful shaders!
Thanks!
Extremely well done! Very polished game. The art style and colors are beautiful. I would interest to know more about how you accomplish it. :) The platforming is not too hard. Just enough to give a challenge but not enough to get stuck. One item that would be nice to have would be a drop shadow on the player. It was hard to get a sense of depth and space. Especially when come towards the camera. The mini map helped a lot with. I had to keep checking between the player and mini map, which was a little cumbersome. The music makes it super atmospheric and ominous. Great game!
Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, I spent of a lot of time trying different angles to get the best possible view, the top-down camera was a late addition to try and make it more fun, still needs work for sure!
The look is mainly achieved with the Flatkit Toon Shading assets.
