I understand you would like some alternative payment channel for Chinese.  It might be possible to sell the game in some Chinese shop, but it's not possible to translate the controls / game.  Do you suggest a certain Chinese shop that is easy to set up, and is as large as itch.io or larger?

Have you tried temporarily disabling any virus protection software you have (in case it is silently blocking it)?  The installer is, of course, virus free and you can check it on virus total, where all of the main virus protection companies show it as clean.  Of course try the standard stuff, like making sure Windows is up to date (pending updates can cause strange things) and restart your computer.  Let me know if that doesn't help.

VaMX is updated to the latest version of Virt-a-Mate.  VaMX receives updates to the latest version of the vamX plugin (where new features are constantly added) every 6 months. It arrives in a single Mega Update (with more testing the normal monthly updates) with all vamX VIP features (which are normally $10 per month).  So the itch.io version is updated infrequently, but updates are free forever (instead of paying $10/month for the vamX Patreon features).  If you are very very eager to get an update, you can pay the $10 one time to update ahead of schedule.

Great! So probably what was happening is that you were launching in VR mode, even when you wanted to use it Desktop only.  When opening in desktop mode, open using VaM (Desktop Mode).bat (as otherwise if you have any sort of VR headset or software active on your computer, opening VaM.exe will open by default in VR mode, with a black screen on the desktop, and the game only visible through the VR headset.

In general a black screen simply indicates and incomplete or incorrect download. While downloading, did an error show?

A black screen can be caused by:
1) An incomplete download (but you say you've run the download multiple times, have you tried opening VaM_Updater -> Options -> Sync / Repair All?  Were there any issues or error messages during download?)
2) Non-English file path or very very long file path.  Have you tried moving the folder to the root of some drive, like D:\VaM?
3) Video card without a proper update, have you updated your video card drivers?
4) If you press the letter "M" on your keyboard, while Virt-a-Mate is open, it toggles the screen going black. Does pressing "M" (once it's loaded) or F1 show anything.

I'm sorry if your payment doesn't go through, individual creators don't have anything to do with accepting payments, you would need to talk to itch.io support https://itch.io/support

If you really can't make it work with itch.io check: https://hub.virtamate.com/threads/how-to-officially-get-vam.39231/

Both download links are the same, the second link is a fallback in case you have a problem with the first. vamX runs on Windows.

The installer downloads around 23 GB worth of data. You can see in the minimum requirements the game needs 30 GB of free disks space.  As you start to use VaMX textures are cached for quicker loading, which will further expand the folder size. You'll probably also download additional content online (since there is so much) which is why we recommend setting aside at least 80 GB of room on a disk for VaMX.

VaMX runs fine off of a fast external USB drive (for example a Samsung Fit Plus or Sandisk ultra, or if you really want speed get an external SSD) and for some people they prefer to keep VaMX files on an external drive.  The "installer" actually doesn't install anything complex, all files are just downloaded to a single folder (no start menu shortcuts, etc.), and that folder can be moved anywhere at any time.

The vamX version on itch.io is updated once every 6 months to the latest version of vamX.  The latest version of vamX costs $10 per month at https://www.patreon.com/vamX   Buying on itch.io gets you a free permanent license, and every 6 months the itch.io version is upgraded to the very latest (that people were paying $10 a month for).  So buying on itch.io is good over the long run, if you don't always need the latest version of vamX.  If you want to stay up-to-date with the latest VIP version of vamX, you must subscribe on Patreon.  That subscription is $10/month.  You can always choose to subscribe for a single month now, just to get the latest version of vamX and add it to your itch.io version if you can't wait for the free update (which will update past 1.36 to whatever is the latest at that time, which will include all 1.36 features plus more).

I'm not sure what you mean.  There is a tutorial for example, if you open VaMX, then on the right side click the Tutorials section.  If that's what's missing your key is missing and you should download VaMX again into a new folder as something was corrupted (why would your key file be deleted)?  You can also get into a set of tutorials by opening the vamX scene and going to Scene -> Help -> Main Tutorial.

If you check the description here on itch.io, you'll notice there isn't any mention of Chat AI functionality.  That feature can't be included in any permanent subscription, because it costs us a large amount, per user, to provide AI access.  There aren't any places where you can pay once and forever have access to AI services, as currently they have substantial cost each time you ask an AI anything.  It's estimated that it costs OpenAI $0.50 - $1 on average for each question asked to ChatGPT. The vamX Chat AI feature consists of around 10 servers with professional graphics cards (4090 or above).  These servers serve a variety of NSFW chat models.  In addition a subscription to the Chat AI feature includes GPT4 (although it's SFW), KoboldAI (with a paid key) and the ability to connect to your own model served through RunPod. It also includes many text to speech servers, so the AI can talk. We also run servers that analyze the conversation, so that she can respond in vamX.  There are thousands of actions which can happen in vamX, if you are set for actions to happen, but these actions require a separate AI to analyze the conversation and decide if any are appropriate (and there is a choice if you want actions to happen only if she agrees to them). Finally, we also run speech to text, so that you can talk and not type.  All of this together is a substantial monthly cost, and so it's only available if you pay a separate monthly subscription of $19. I know this is a lot, but it's just mainly what it costs us to run the servers, we aren't really making much money on the Chat AI part itself, although it's very exciting and we are improving it all the time.  That said, we are also improving many other things about vamX, and these other improvements will be free.  The itch.io version is updated every 4-6 months with a TON of new features.

VaM (or VaMX) can be deleted simply by deleting the VaM folder you downloaded it into.  It does not install or modify anything outside of it's own folder. So just delete that, and then purchase this from itch.io and you should be good to go!  It's a simple, single installer.  VaMX requires a lot of resources, but your 4080 RTX should be just fine.  At least 16 GB of RAM is required.

All itch.io games show up as "ITCH.IO GAME STORE" unless the creator uses an external payment method. We allow itch.io to collect payments for us, so it will show up on your credit card statement as "ITCH.IO GAME STORE".

Please install VaMX to a path without special (non-English) characters.  Try installing it to C:\VaM or D:\VaM.

That is the current latest update for itch.io.  VaMX for itch.io is updated every 5-6 months with a tested mega update that includes all developments that have occurred during that time. Updates are always free.  There was a recent notice sent by itch.io that there was an update available. This was because a new version of the Installer was posted (due to us changing content delivery network providers). Itch.io automatically sent that email without us requesting it, which confused some users. It wasn't a game update, just a new installer that downloads the same files from a different source.

Very extensive, if you just mean normal size/shape/color, etc.  You can load different males which have different penis shapes, or get into the customizable Male Morph menu where you could (with some wading through way too many options) create pretty much any shape.  There is also a place where users post mods, for example for non-circumcised (which is one thing that is missing as a default). You can also download some unusual shape morphs.  So, by default, just load different males and find the penis you want, or dive deeper by downloading community mods or using the Edit mode Male Atom -> Male Morphs area (where there are thousands or tens of thousands of morphs).

It's not possible to change the user interface language of VaMX.  It is possible for the female to speak a limited amount of dialog from a few different languages. As you interact with her she will moan and say sexy lines in the voice, accent, or language chosen in Sound -> Female Voices and languages . These languages include French, Spanish, Japanese, Russian, and also there are accents like Scottish, or Android, Anime, etc.  There is a possibility to separately pay for AI Chat, which can be in any language, but this costs us a huge amount per month/user/question asked so it's a separate subscription that can be used with VaMX, but it's not part of VaMX.  It also doesn't effect the UI.  It does let you use NSFW chat (like a NSFW ChatGPT, or ChatGPT itself) in almost any language, by speaking to, and hearing a response.  This is a separate feature that can be added on, and is not included in VaMX.

If you purchase here you will have the same latest Virt-a-Mate 1.x Creator (currently 1.22) as you would get if you subscribed to MeshedVR on Patreon + vamX on Patreon. Plus it's a single installer that puts everything together in a much easier way then trying to build it from the two separate Patreons.  You don't even need to enter any code!

You would need to install this, then after installation copy over your AddonPackages, Custom, and Saves folders from your old Virt-a-Mate installation to the new VaMX installation.

VaMX on itch.io includes VIP Extras that are not outdated.  There are VIP Extra environments available through Patreon that are not part of VaMX on itch.io, but that is because they have become outdated and slightly broken when used with new versions of vamX.  Once those environments are updated/fixed to work with the latest VaMX, they will be added for free for VaMX users.  So, at least currently, all working VIP Extras are included in VaMX on itch.io.  This isn't always guaranteed, though, there may be VIP additions on Patreon that don't get into VaMX.  If you see something you absolutely must have, then you could always subscribe for one month on Patreon, but currently that isn't necessary unless you really love the VIP environments, even though they need some updating to work as they were originally intended to (with dynamic interactivity, for example things change when you move around the Space Station scene, etc., and to have the full set of vamX options).

Virt-a-Mate + vamX on itch:
Easy
Includes Virt-a-Mate
Free Updates Forever
Less Frequent Updates

vamX on Patreon
Requires a separate purchase and configuration of Virt-a-Mate
Frequent Monthly Updates While You are a Subscriber

More Info:

Virt-a-Mate + vamX includes Virt-a-Mate, the base game required to run vamX.  If you purchase vamX on Patreon, you don't get Virt-a-Mate and it must be purchased and installed separately.  Installation is significantly harder / more time consuming, as here you get a single combined installer that just puts everything together.

If you purchase vamX from Patreon, you get a newer version of vamX.  That version is updated every month on Patreon as long as you keep subscribing on Patreon.

If you purchase on itch.io you get free updates for life (instead of paying monthly) but the game is only updated infrequently, typically every 4-6 months with a major combined update.  These updates are checked more carefully, to make sure the major updates don't contain any issues. When the itch.io (this version) is updated, it includes ALL improvements you would get if you were on the VIP Early Access tier on Patreon, so you do end up with everything.

A complete update, to the latest released Patreon version ( www.patreon.com/vamX ), will be free, forever, but will only happen once very 3-6 months.

Mostly, yes.  In VR, it's just a matter of positioning the UI closer to you.  If you are in Desktop Mode, the vamX UI can also be moved closer to you.  Press the Detach button in the vamX UI.  The move around to position the UI as you want, then click Attach to fix it in place.  If you are in Desktop Mode and the non-vamX UI is too small, that can't be easily changed, but is probably because you are on a small 4k screen, and therefore the UI is a bit small.  In this case I wonder if you can do something in Windows, definitely you could decrease the resolution of that screen before launching VaMX, and that would increase the menu size.

There is a downloader, so the download can be interrupted (many times even). Files are checked for integrity, then all bad or missing files are downloaded (the download is resumed).  The downloader is actually called the Updater as it is the same program you can run to check for updates.

Awesome, thanks! :)

Updates every 4-6 months, that include all improvements made for Patreon / VIP Patreon users (but just the updates are made less frequently, and also the game should be more stable  because of this).

I think the issue with this is that itch.io only hosts relatively small games (2 GB or less I think). VaMX is around 28GB.

The itch.io VaMX will be updated every 4-6 months (or more frequently for bug fixes). When updated it will include all (vamX / VaM 1.x) features that were added (on Patreon) during that time.

What's the itch.io VR launcher? Google doesn't seem to find an "itch.io VR launcher" (and neither do I).

Thanks! This game is completely real, although it requires a computer with a strong graphics card to render everything. Even your comment could be taken as part of a prank ;)  I'm so glad you are impressed.  Yeah, it's hard to see all of these advertisements for fake animated games, but this is the real deal. You can search online for VaMX through Google or YouTube.
