Hey, I'm an artist or UI artist looking for a team that already sort of knows what they're making. I'm here to take a supportive role to help make the vision happen.
Ideally the team would be working in Unity. My go-to is 2d illustration style as well as isometric 2d and wouldn't be against working in 3D as long as it's not making detailed models. I'm flexible with art styles!
You can see some of the previous game jams I've done on my itch.io page, I can also send my portfolio if you want.
You can reach me at _reenz on Discord, I go by Vaumer :)
Hey! I go by Vaumer, I'm an artist looking for a team. I've done game jams before and I'm looking to beef up my portfolio a bit.
Here's a link to some of my work: Games
I'm all about keeping the scope small for jams, to make sure the game plays good and gets finished.
I'm _reenz on Discord if you can't message here. Don't hesitate to reach out! :)
This game feels so polished! I had a lot of fun going through the levels and genuinely learned a lot about companion planting. I appreciate how the knowledge is a vital game mechanic, it made it easy for me to remember and I hope to be able to use the knowledge in the future!
I don't have anything to add, I hope to see what's to come with your dev group. Wonderful game!
I can imagine getting sucked into this game for hours. The mechanics are simple enough for a casual player like me to enjoy and the display and events are clear and interesting. I especially liked the weather events.
Different types of cows would be what I would hope to see in the game, but if there is a reason for one specific breed of cow to be used that would be interesting to know too. (I'm not familiar with New Zealand dairy practices). I really enjoyed playing!
First of all, your team absolutely nailed the atmosphere. The music sets such a relaxing mood that I can't help but want to keep my kelp farm safe, and the little fish swimming around are very charming. I hadn't heard of kelp farming before this game and I am definitely now interested in learning more about it.
I had some trouble planting the kelp, so I wonder if a tutorial would be useful inside the game if you decided to continue. Great work.
It already feels like a classic farming game, and I love the setting. The interactive radio is great and I had fun flipping through the channels. I wish there was an indication of the square footprint of the "crops" as I'm placing them, but I got used to it quickly. The gameplay feels like it can really be expanded on by adding more ways to monitor how your "crops" interact with each other. Really enjoyed it!
