Fun game with cute girls but a lot of bugs v0.5

  • Trapped at Dungeon Entrance.  Game says I can go back but that just loops back.
  • With controller the Phone Menu seems to have an odd delay as I have to press B multiple times before it shows up.
  • Would be good to have the Phone respond to touch commands.
  • Bus Stop should allow the option to go to school from the start instead of walking there.  If there was something along the way like meeting someone but going through empty areas seems boring.  It's also odd that walking there doesn't give a time penalty.
  • Not sure why the front gate to the pool is locked from the outside.  Took awhile to figure I could get there from the kitchen.  It would also be nice if these side rooms were marked better.
  • There is no Sword Class.  Minor but if it's not in the game perhaps don't tell players to go there.  On those days I do strength training as there doesn't seem to be any other skills that can be trained.
  • Should fill the town with people so it doesn't feel like a ghost town.  Met the neighbor once and afterwards the town is completely empty.
  • With all the paths the player can't go maybe highlight where they can go in green.  After a few "can't go here" it becomes annoying.  Having labels on classrooms would be very helpful.
  • Assembly Hall still is full of students after the opening ceremony.
  • Pretty sure I talked to the librarian way after I should have as after a week she asked me what my preferences were.  She should be one of the tips on the phone.
  • Having the relationship screen be more dynamic would be better than just listing all the levels.  If I'm done with level 0 then I don't need to see that anymore but if it looks like the info for level 1 cuts off it would be better so show more of the level I'm currently working on.  In case that level has passed then an "in development" message would be more appropriate than previous level info. Tried to scroll but doesn't seem like that has been implemented.
  • When hugging Olivia from behind she is referenced as "him".
  • Peeking on Emily in the shower calls her Olivia instead.
  • On the map the house in the lower left is missing.  It also shows City Hall to be just right of the player's home which isn't right as the park is right and City Hall is above that.
  • Going to Potion Class resets that amount of flowers that have been gathered.
  • The entrance and exit doors for the Potion Class aren't aligned.  Minor but annoying.  Same with the Teachers Room.
  • After Fight Class the Phone disappeared whether I win/lose against Zoe...  I also seem to gained super speed.  Well I can't access the menu to save and the one auto save slot screwed me so reload from a much earlier time.  Might be a good idea to come up with a way to restore that function in case the player looses it.
  • If you learn the girls names they shouldn't be referenced as ??? and it would be nice if they were added to the romance screen.
  • Cant remember id dodge was ever explained but in battle moving away from the exclamation points is a good thing.
  • Seems the Devils Tongue marks the enemy with a heart by their health bar but you can't mark multiple enemies.
  • How do I use items outside of battle?
  • Don't know why the cat girls show up in the Sword menu.
  • I've leveled up at least 10 times but it doesn't show in the Status screen.
  • Been training Guts for awhile and still can't give gifts.
  • Sleeping and Eating should restore Health/Mana.
  • No shops to spend the money I earned...
  • Once I got to the end the classes seem to just repeat.  Don't need to learn Rock Smash again.
  • Sometimes I think the overlay menu interferes with the phone menu.  Not sure but a few times I couldn't advance a scene with "Z" as it neither showed the prompt or accepted when I pressed it which soft locked the game.

Kinda wondering why not simply use Ren'Py built in translation tool?  Lots of errors occur when you translate from English to Spanish then back to English...

  • Replaced 'game\tl\None\common.rpym' with the English version.  
  • Edited 'game\screens.rpy' as a few options either weren't translated or poorly so.
  • Added text outlines, ability to set textbox opacity, and toggle the quick menu.

I found out this can be avoided if you change the language from English to Spanish before exiting Optis's Workshop.

Found a bug in 0.3.5 where when you're cooking food the menu stays on screen.

Lets say I wanted to farm Forest Elementals which I did.

  1. Go to Twilight Forest
  2. Move mouse left to the forest area
  3. Fight and win
  4. Camera resets to center
  5. Repeat 2-4 until capacity has been reached.

In this adventure I keep having to move the camera back to the area I'm focused on which is slightly inconveniencing.  Light Fairies are easier as their territory is in the default area of the camera.

Plains of Prax is not as bad as even though Female Slimes are more common in the area to the far right they still show up commonly at the ruins.  Still if I moved the camera over there it jerking back to default is me fighting with the camera to get the task done.

Fun game but it would be easier to farm girls if the camera didn't keep defaulting to the starting position.  Shops would be more convenient if you could see how much money you have.  Girls having random chat dialogue would be better than just showing their stats as that should just be displayed when looking at them.  Easier to see which ones are low instead of asking them individually and dialogue would give them some personality.  Any plans to tame the golem girl?  I've captured all the girls so far and fed them milk.
