I managed to beat the game (no cakes collected though =( ) by abusing the blue hair air dash lol. It was still fun to navigate the levels though.

I'll echo other comments and say that having to do 4 inputs to use a skill while still doing separate movement inputs is a big ask. If I hadn't realized that I could also use the arrow keys for movement with one hand, and do the skill inputs with the other, I don't know if I could have beat the game.

Can I suggest that instead, you do your two inputs (Z / X) to determine what skill you're storing, it auto-combines (Remove C input entirely), and then instead of using V or F, you have spacebar be a multifunctional input?

Something like

Player on ground = normal jump

Player not on ground = use stored ability

I crashed the plane to see if I could generate points with the explosion and it did

10/10

I played a few more rounds with the knowledge that the resource bar on top was mine to spend, it did make it a bit easier to get some higher level red monsters out on the field. Still, I think if you don't get an early rodente on the field for card draw, the player is resource starved.

Also I think there may be a bug related to the Lost Viking card's effect trigger. I've seen it twice now that the entire game stalls out  when trying to trigger the effect after the Lost Viking dies.

Anyway good game, the art is great especially

If that was in the two "How to Play" blocks I must have totally missed them. Since they were on the other side of the board, I assumed it was something to do with the enemy's resources. IE I spent these resources and now the AI gets to use them somehow

After playing it a bit I understood the concept and was able to win one against the first AI. I enjoyed my time with it though once I understood that the mechanics

Feedback
The player starting combines don't have a lot of immediate attack power, so enemy cards like "Tinkerer" are very dangerous to you and snowball the match very quickly. Also on rounds where I didn't start with the ingredients for the rodente, I felt like I would be out of any options right as the AI was hitting it's stride and getting a big 5/4 robotinger on the field.

On the 2nd AI opponent that spawns the flower card every turn, I could not manage to chip away enough health to realistically beat them before their big cards came onto the field, for which I had no answer.

Also biggest feedback point of all, LEFT CLICKING to clear the cauldron needs a confirm if it's going to waste the player material. This is what ultimately made me stop attempting to beat opponent #2 as an accidental misclick basically doomed me

Not sure if I'm missing something, but in the area where you jump into a red cauldron and then are immediately presented with a drop down to a green cauldron that bounces you up and down, I can't figure out how to proceed. The cauldron isn't bouncing my character high enough to get to the object on the wall (stump?) and the camera movement between the areas makes figuring out how to time a jump there very awkward.

Otherwise liked the speedy movement and bouncing  from the mushrooms, especially when you can chain them

Good puzzle layouts!

I really liked your animations, the crab looked so good! Is there a way to avoid the salt by tossing vegetables at the source or is it there as kind of a "soft enrage" timer? Either way, gameplay was fun. My best attempt was 117 points, i kept bouncing stuff off my sides being too greedy =)

Also just FYI, the view/follow/add to collection buttons that itch.io overlays in the top right corner was covering the 'X' to get out of the settings menu. Not a big deal, just thought you might want to know.

Enjoyed it =)

I don't know if it was something I did wrong with itch.io itself, but the "view all by..." "add to collection" etc boxes in the top right were covering up the money and level info. I figured it out though. Nicely done.
