Does the hectic aspect seem more balanced than before? And if not, what aspects aren't? For example, enemies being too quick/slow, etc.

* I was not able to play the playtest 1 version so I could not say much about that but I think that the hectic aspect is balanced very well. I was heavily invested in the game all throughout the 3 levels I played.

Are towers (now with variety) more balanced together, or are certain towers over/underpowered?

* I think that all the towers were balanced together pretty well. They were unique enough from each other but still form a cohesive defense.

Does the elemental aspect of towers to enemies feel smooth/intuitive to understand?

* I guess I didn't really understand this part of the game. I didn't know that the elemental aspect affected the gameplay much outside of styling/aesthetic purposes.

Does the flow of the game feel moderately smooth(er), and in what ways if not?

* The flow of the game was pretty smooth. The game honestly felt like it was made by professionals with many years of experience and I was heavily addicted from the start. It does the tower defense very well.

Is the UI intuitive and understandable? Any comments on adding/removing/clarifying anything to it?

* I didn't understand what happens when the play button turns green. I know that was mentioned in class but I didn't remember it and could not figure out that part.

Did you find any interesting strategies during your gameplay? If so, please let us know what you found, and if not, tell us how we can give you more opportunity to strategize.

* My strategy was mainly following general tower defense strategies of putting towers in places that the enemies cross more that once. Whenever it got overwhelming and I don't have the wormhole tower yet, I try to sort the gems instead of running all the way to the crate and the black holes during waves. I then pick what I need the most during then, if I need upgrades or more towers, etc. This allows me to prioritize and achieve what I want to be done first. It was a bit hard to pick up what I wanted so doing this helped out with that.

What do you think about the multi-tiered currency? Does a currency dedicated to the blackhole give more incentive to complete it than before? Is the wormhole tower (if used) sufficiently helpful with collecting currency?

I think the multi-tiered currency was pretty interesting. I was confused on whether some gems were more rare than others. I was thinking that it might be better if the upgrades doesn't require too high of a certain gem if some are more rare. I think having the currency specific to the blackhole was a good idea. The wormhole is sufficiently helpful

  1. How was the gameplay? Exciting? Fun? Boring?

- the game play was really exciting, I was on the edge of my seat the entire time hearing the footsteps when I am not moving.

  1. What did you think of the map size?

- The map size was pretty good, I get lost a lot which is pretty realistic with what will happen if I was actually in the game. I don't know if this is in one of the illustrations but maybe a map similar to those fire exit ones would be nice to refer back to.

  1. How did you feel about visibility while playing?

- the visibility was pretty good. I start to get nauseaus after a while when I don't switch out the batteries to my flashlight

  1. Tell us about your favorite part of the game.

- my favorite part was the sounds the monster makes. It definitely makes the game a lot spookier so props to the sound designer. The ripping noise creeps me out so much so I am a big fan of it

  1. Tell us about your least favorite part of the game.

- I think the nausea part with the movement is probably my least favorite part but I think that one is on me lol. This is part of the reason why I stay away from VR games.

  1. Thoughts on difficulty? How does it feel on the first run, vs after having more experience with additional runs?

The difficulty definitely gets easier as you go. I get more familiar with the map and where the batteries are located. Also where the safe zone area is at. I think I lose that a lot the first few times.

  1. Feedback on any specific mechanics, rooms, etc?

- n/a

  1. What do you think about the Luumba?

- I really liked the luumba, I think it is a good addition to the game and definitely a fun guy lol

  1. What do you think of the puzzles? Too difficult or too easy?

The puzzle wasn't too difficult. I actually got it first try but I didn't know that I needed to click the launch so I restarted and put the wrong answer the second time around. Maybe create a more difficult version? Having a easy, medium, hard modes could be cool

  1. What types of puzzles would you like to see added? (More interaction/exploration?)

I would like more of the same one, I love word puzzles so I appreciate if you make more but of different variety.

  1. How did you feel about the oxygen meter? (Balanced? Too slow? Dynamic with player movement and fire?)

I honestly didn't really even notice the oxygen meter within the gameplay, I was just able to solve it and go. Maybe having the difficulty modes could change that up too so it is more noticeable

  1. How did you feel about the fire/extinguisher?

The fire extinguisher served me well. I mostly stayed away from the fire and shoot from afar and it worked. I am not sure if you guys have a distance limit but it seemed like I could be really far away and still extinguish the fire

  1. What did you think of the pace/length of the game?

The pace of the game is good, it took me a while to get used to the controls so I was able to spend a little time just walking around and it lengthen the game for sure.

  1. What did you like about the game?

I LOVE puzzles so this was actually the game I was looking forward to the most.

  1. What did you dislike about the game?

I had a hard time with the controls, I

  1. What could be improved or added to enhance the overall gameplay?

1. How does the monster feel? Is it frustrating? Harmless? Suggestions for improvement?

- The monster was interesting, I think I found it a bit hard to understand and come up with some strategy to avoid it. It was not too hard to avoid but I would get idle sometimes and it just got me lol. I'm not sure if it's moving in a particular way or it is random. It would be cool if it is strategic and the player can figure it out eventually

2. How easy is it to figure out the controls for your ship?  Was anything unclear? Are any of the controls frustrating to use?

- The controls was pretty intuitive, I think it was cool that you can still press down on the arrows even after you change screens to the map. Not sure if that is a bug, if it is, I would consider it a feature.

3. Does the ship feel like it needs anything? Features? Layout changes?

- The ship's design is amazing, I am a really big fan of it. I think where everything is placed is perfect as is. The only thing that stood out to me was one of the buttons on the fixer was not the same as the others. It sticks out of the TV unlike the rest

4. Does the game feel balanced? Does it feel too simple or too difficult?

- The game feels balanced to me, I wouldn't say I would lean one way or the other

5. How does the ship speed feel?

- I like the ship speed, I guess sometimes I wouldn't see the monster till last minute and wished there was a built in dash that you could use once or twice for an emergency escape

6. Do you feel to you all the areas without too much issues?

- Everything was decently accessible to me

7. Do you feel like you have enough oxygen?

- I was a bit confused on how the oxygen plays into it I would say. I didn't really get the chance to use the feature.

8. Misc: What did you think? Any room for improvement? What was your favorite part? Least favorite part?

- I really like the music! It made it really easy for me to get into the game because I am in a space of calmness and immersion. It really felt like I was in the game

1. How is the movement? Does any mechanic feel too weak/strong compared to the rest?

The movement is great. I think that all of the mechanics are about the same in terms of strength.

2. Is the fog too aggressive or too slow? If future levels occasionally had very fast fog for a speed challenge, would that be fun or just brutal?

To be honest, I struggled even getting through the tutorials part so I really can't say anything. Based on my experience with the game so far and what I saw during the play test demos, I think that I might need a lot of practice before that could be playable for me. Skill issue on my end

3. Are any specific sections too difficult or unexplained?

I think after more practice, everything would be a lot easier. I think that everything was explained pretty well. Maybe something to add is a how to menu?

4. Do you think having enemies to fight would add some extra flavor, or would it distract from the speedy platforming too much?

I think something like the fog who chases is good enough. Maybe change the fog into something different later.

5. Any bugs or significant exploits?

I was stuck on a ledge for a bit where you can't move using A and D but I was able to move it using the gun. Other than that everything was alright.

1. How challenging was the game? What would make it more or less challenging?

The game was pretty straightforward. I think I would rate it a middle of the pack 3/5 challenging.

2. What was the gameplay experience like?

The gameplay was cool, I think I was getting confused on the shooting bar and whether or not green is the correct amount of power because everytime I hit green, the newspaper never fall in the right place where I thought it would be

3. How do the user interface and controls feel?

The user interface is super cool. the graphics are amazing and I like the instructions in the beginning. The controls respond the way I want it to.

4. What did you like about the game?

The graphics is amazing and I like how chill the gameplay is. It was very calming. Good job!

5. What did you dislike about the game?

Mainly what I metioned in 2 but that could be a me problem.

Overall I am excited to see the final product of this game!
