Just because it's a "fun little project" doesn't mean it's not able to receive criticism and feedback, both negative and positive.

The "AI" is completely and utterly unfair. They get free resets, can push you off the track with ease and don't succumb to losing grip at all, which makes them directly better than you and honestly more a nuisance than a challenge.

If rewriting the "AI" to be better is out of your league, maybe you could just require players to beat a certain time rather than race against an opponent.

Also, the controls are whack and aren't explained whatsoever. Customizable keybinds will solve this, but it won't fix that the cars feeling like utter shit to drive and are borderline uncontrollable at times, making actual racing pointless.

It's alright, but here's a few things that can be improved.

  • Car Feel - The cars just feel slidy and unorthodox, so genuine racing with them is somewhat hard, but just goofing around in Time Trials is fun as fuck. If the cars had a bit more traction so that you could turn without sliding/drifting and were grippier in general the game would feel so much better.
  • Tracks - A lot of the circuits have the road slightly above the ground mesh, so getting clipped on them is very common. 
  • "AI" - Is merciless and will ram on sight if you are too slow. 10/10.

Pretty cool game, hopefully it can be improved in the future!
