Fintech dev here, who is also tired of that sh*t! (10 years business sw dev exp, plus 2 years unreal, 1 year unity, using godot lately)

Last december I've put together a custom dialog/VN system for my collection of reuseable game module library (also did inventory, menus, and other small things, and working on a moderately detailed rimworld-like character sheet+progression system right now). The only caveat is that I'm working with the C# version of godot, because that's the language I known for a long time.

Usually my weakness is the UI and visuals, so most of the things i do/draw is ugly, but functioning well :D

Your link doesn't seem to work, so I don't have much material to base the idea on, except the description... by that it doesn't seem to be complicated. There are some really good vn plugins for godot, but i prefer to go custom, because the flexibility, and a lot of code people share are just plain bad imho (by that i mean they would not pass my code review).

Since this is an indie game, I don't really expect to be paid, but if you plan to monetize the project, I would like some revshare. In addition to that I would like to keep open the possibility to reuse the code I write for my own projects later.  (Oh yea... I started out by making some small nsfw games (one of them is published here), because that's where the money flows, please don't judge based on that! :D )

It will be introduced in a major update, since it requires putting the hair behind the body. There is a new, higher quality and higher resolution character template in works, since the assets are originally intended for a bigger game with multiple customizabe characters with all kinds of goodies (to be able to create customized monster girls with a lot of states, like expansions). As the assets are finished for the other game, this game will be updated with them too, and later maybe merged into it.

Added variation for butt size in 0.0.1.5, but there will be standalone endings later.

It requires some luck to get that setup tho :D

I may remove 7's after there was a hit, so it wont obstruct the reels, nor the shop. The general idea is to introduce new symbols later, like 7/muffin/milk, which have varying effects, like outfits, body changes, or anything else, that seems to be recommended by people. Some other, very different endings are in the pipeline too with improved graphics.

Hello there!

By the screen mockup, it looks more like a 2D point and click game for me.

I'm working on some template projects, which can be repurposed/reskinned (sidescroller, isometric, grid based, arpg combat, topdown, point and click, etc. , some minigames, and some systems, like inventory, shops, dialogs, etc.), and I think one of my half done templates looks very much like what you want to do with this game.

I'm planning to finish my current game on this week, after that I can continue working on the templates... if I start with picking up that one, it will probably be in a presentable state on the next week.

I have over 10 years of professional experience with .net/C#, but started gamedev as a hobby only 1-2 years ago (usually left projects unfinished, because scope creep, or I wasn't satisfied with them), currently playing around with Godot/Redot, but all the characters I worked so far were either frame-by-frame animations or skeletal based cutout characters. There is a plugin for l2d, but I have no idea what state that plugin is in.... (Unity definately has better support for l2d.)

If you are interested, I'll share the template demo as soon as its finished, then can take a look at l2d integration possibilities.

Btw, do you plan to monetize the game?
