I did want the crosshair to be turned off to give the player a challenge when I designed the game, but I'll consider adding a crosshair toggle for an update after the jam. Thanks for your feedback!

Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks! Press F to toggle flashlight!

THAT'S AWESOME!! I'm legit gonna change my rating now xD

Short but cool game with impressive coding and mechanics. Definitely has potential if further developed.

Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Oh yeah you were actually supposed to find the AR15 in the house, that was intentional. Originally you'd find it at the gas station but I ended up deciding it'd make more sense to find it in the house so that you could fight your way through to the gas station. I'm sorry to hear that you ran out of ammo early on, even though we wanted players to be somewhat aware of ammo management nobody ran out of ammo during playtests. If you believe that it's a bug, I'll investigate it. Congratulations on finding the tower! I intended for the sign in front of you at spawn to guide you in where you'd want to go,  if you felt like that wasn't clear enough then I'll investigate that as well. Thanks for your feedback and support!

I am truly heartwarmed by your expression of appreciation for the graphics, I loved it too! Unfortunately, I am not completely sure on how the post processing and filter was made, since our other programmer Mikolaj did that stuff. I'll ask him for you and post the response here, thanks for playing! :D

Thanks for the feedback! I have intended to add an objective UI but I wasn't able to due to time constraints. I'll check with the SCREAM JAM admins if I could as part of a bug fix due to demand, and if I can I'll update the game with the next patch to be expected today or tomorrow. Thank you for playing!

The daughters are in the car :)

Thanks, you too!

Thanks for your feedback, I'll look into making the controls more instructive. I'm glad you enjoyed it :D

The combat mechanics were enjoyable and the pacing was nice. The text felt a bit slow at times, but overall I like it a lot.

Amazing art style and voice acting, I really enjoyed the music and animation as well!

Here's a horror FPS I made!

I fixed the aforementioned bugs a few hours ago and went to sleep, apologies for forgetting. Menu buttons should work now!

Rated, fun game! I loved the voice acting and the accent was just brilliant!

I'm glad you enjoyed the experience, we were going to make a map at the start but couldn't finish due to time constraints. The invisible zombies shouldn't be as hard as it currently is as there are some bugs that we're in the process of patching. Thanks for your feedback!

Thanks for the compliment, I'm glad you enjoyed it :D

Thanks a lot for the compliment, but I'd have to credit Mik for it who did the shaders and post processing!

I'm really proud of making this one with my team, let me know what you think

I'm glad you enjoyed the game! We'll look into the zombie sounds to see if there's anything we can do about it, and I'll take your experience with the dirt path into account regarding path design. I originally wanted to make the path a bit challenging, almost maze like where the player would have to backtrack with some trial and error, and I guess I was wrong about that. Thanks for the feedback!

Hi, thanks for pointing out the bug! Technically, the logic behind the code should actually enable you to complete the game which you can see for yourself by driving down the dirt path. I believe that it was part of an unfinished objective that was culled to meet the jam deadline, I'll look into fixing it, thanks!

sure, let me know what you think of my game and I'll give you some feedback too!

Checking it out right now :)

I really enjoyed this game, and I'm impressed that you have touchscreen and controller options! Rated :D

well the way I look at it, the more simple something is, the more effort was put in it to make it look simple. Great job!

Thanks for the input, I'm glad you liked it! I'm aware of the menu buttons issue, that's a bug that we're resolving. It should be resolved within a couple hours, I'll reply to this comment once it is.

Thanks for playing! I'm really glad you enjoyed that, and I'm also glad that my intent of using bullet flash as a mechanic actually worked as a mechanic and not a "workaround" haha! I didn't recognise how player direction would be percieved until recently so yeah, I'm definitely lacking a bit in that department and I'm really grateful that you pointed that out!

Indeed, our voice actor is a legend.

Was a bit short but quite enjoyable. The engine is rather impressive.

Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Well, in that case here's another hint. Look at the dirt trail and follow the same trail when you go back. And yeah, I agree that this game needs subtitles. We would've put them in if we had more time, but since it was the first time for a lot of us we kind of had to make a decision between what we'd put in and what we wouldn't. Thanks for the feedback!

Haha thanks! I really appreciate the kind words, our whole team poured their hearts and souls into the making of this game so I'm really, really glad that you've enjoyed playing it!

Thanks! And also, you can find your way to the radio tower through the dirt path, remember to use your flashlight!

np! have fun!

and also, remember to follow the dirt trail! people who didn't have gotten lost many, many times....

Rated, please rate mine!

There are instructions for the controls in the game description. 1, 2 and 3 are the weapon switch keys. And also, the game is intentionally dark, you have to make use of your flashlight. The cell tower is out of order, you have to repair it by going up to it.

I've basically killed myself making this game with my team over the past week. I went to bed at around 4am on average and I'm pretty sure I've lost 5 pounds despite working on the game while I would've otherwise exercised. Despite being weak and frail, and described as "dying" by at least three of my classmates, I am proud to present the finished product that is Nightfall Extraction!

Nightfall Extraction is an exciting, old school style horror first person shooter game, inspired by games like Resident Evil and Left 4 Dead. You take on the role of a man holding out against an escalating apocalypse until extraction arrives, while completing objectives to ensure your survival. The game starts out slow, like a traditional horror game. However, you will obtain more firepower as you progress, though the threat of enemies will also increase, becoming stronger and more numerous. Expect a varied experience with a mixed form of different styles of horror games. Oh, and you can drive.

By the way, if things get too dark, toggle your flashlight on with F! You can also switch your weapons with the number keys and mousewheel, and if the car gets stuck, press R to reset it.

Despite this being the first game I've ever coded and completed, I'm really happy with the results. Please check out the game and give it a rating so that the 5 months of lifespan I've lost over the development process is worth it xD
