You don't have to do anything special. Your save is held in appdata and not your game's installation folder so just upgrade to 1.2 and have at it.

You have to be nice to him when he loses his girls. That's how I got it in 1.1. No idea if 1.2 changed it but idk why it would.

I only found 1 scene with her and it's a part of Anna's story. idk how I got it exactly. Anna will go to the bar at some point and the scene happens after you find Anna there the third time.

On Kate's day off (Thursday I think), you have to visit her in the park (Suburban > Park) and the bar (Downtown > Bar), and at home (Downtown I think > Kate's) on 3 different weeks.

Once you find that wanna-be player guy at the mall (on Thursday? I think?). you can find him a few more times later, once at the beach and once downtown. Complete his story. You have to pick the right dialogue options to proceed. idk what they are. You have to humiliate him first, then show empathy downtown.
