Bua... if by DF you mean Dwarf Fortress and by PZ you mean Project Zomboid... they are game that I actively play, and I really think they are very good. If your idea is to follow that style or take inspiration from those games, I wish you the best...

Hey... it's me again...
I've been playing your game, and I'm really a fan of this work. I just want to help a little with the game's development, so I’ll give you some tips that I think are useful for the game and for the players (which I recommend putting on the homepage):
For the players:
I was testing the game on another PC and noticed that it opened normally... but when trying to open or create a game, it got stuck on a black screen... and didn’t progress at all. However, while looking for possible issues to solve it, I noticed that Visual C++ needed to be installed, and now it runs perfectly for me. This seems simple to me, but for those who don’t know how to program or are just starting to play, it can be tedious if your game doesn’t open. That’s why I recommend including this information on your page as a possible solution to that error.
For the game:
At this point, I must admit that I’m satisfied with the new improvements and the expansion of the game... I really like it a lot. I only recommend adding more building materials... perhaps they could be found in caves. I find them very empty and boring compared to the surface... other than that, everything is perfect 👌
I will continue updating this topic as ideas come to me... if that's not a bother 😅
Hey man...You really caught my attention... I can feel you talk from the heart about video games... and that truly makes me want to keep working here... I'm not really anyone important, and in fact... I like not being one XD... nobody asked, but I'll share a bit about myself:
I'm a student at "Universidad Central Martha Abreu de Las Villas" (UCLV) in Cuba... I'm currently studying Computer Science and I've noticed that I'm 22 years old, just like you... I know English well enough to read and understand it perfectly, but I struggle with speaking it... my passion for video games started around the age of 10, and since then I've been creating whatever I can to show everyone my ability to make them from scratch... The only downside is that I have ADHD, which makes it really hard for me to focus on a project... that's my demon. That's why I can't just join you to learn together... and that makes me a bit sad... but hey... keep working in this world of video games. Maybe one day when you're really famous, you'll remember this long text and smile...
I'm currently working on a multiplayer, top-down 2D game. I have endless game ideas to create... and I suppose I'll gradually work on them after my classes and in the future after my job... I'm not planning to stop at all...
You've gained a follower here on itch... and the next game... will have your username hidden somewhere... I hope to finish at least the demo soon so you can play it a bit... Thanks for encouraging the people around you to make games... you have a friend here in Cuba for whatever you need hehehe.
Hello... :)
Thank you very much for the feedback... it really helps me improve... let's go:
1. The idea of having the Z prompt out of view was intentional... at first, I found it funny that the player has to jump to see what the message says... but after seeing half of it, I thought it was understandable XD... however, several complaints from my friends made me realize it wasn't a good idea... still, I left it as is.
2. The purpose of the initial rock is to let the player know not to rush and to think a little... but it's also well known that if the message isn't clear to the player, then the idea is poorly executed...
3. I apologize for that last point... I was running out of time and still didn't have the game's ending ready for the Jam... I made a map as quickly as I could and focused on polishing the errors as much as possible with the remaining time... by the end, I came up with an unsettling ending idea, and the rest is history 😂 it would have been good to place some signs and give a clearer path... but in the next project I'm working on, it will definitely be better...
Thank you for everything... we would never improve if it weren't for you who play it!
In fact... from the beginning of the development, I was going to use the D and Space keys to move and jump respectively... but soon I realized that players might get even more confused since the D key is used to move to the right... then I remembered the old game emulators that used the Z, X, and C keys for actions... and so I made the last-minute decision, LOL.
Hey man... I really appreciate that you're gradually keeping the project going...
Can I tell you a little secret? I also have several projects in mind but I can't make progress on any of them because I'm busy with others... I guess it's a thing of busy creators haha...
But I have to tell you something that a friend told me: I understand that you have too many things to implement in the game, many... but if you get overwhelmed by the large amount, you won't achieve anything... try to do them one by one... without worrying how long it will take, without worrying if it will be liked more than the others... Just do it for you and no for them...
That's how I've made a little progress with one of mine... it really works... even though my ADHD doesn't help.
I wish you the best of luck with the progress of your project... in fact... if you really believe that making paid versions on Steam will keep you motivated, do it... because it really seems to be a good project and I have no doubt that it has the potential for many people to talk about it and like it...
(The following is not necessary or mandatory) If you need help with someone to test the game, I've proven to be especially good at that with my colleagues, I don't want money for it and I'm very good at keeping secrets ;)
By the way, my name is Alberto, if you need to talk about something private, here's my email perezpozoalberto@gmail.com
PD. It looks really good 👍
hi I am Walber... i will be honest whith you... your project is AMAZING... but I need to tell you some details... in bigs projects I need more space_work. So If you can create an interactive space_work, (like a map than yu can expand if you scroll it) I apreciate so much... Thanks for your program.
