Passing the .conf file to dosbox should be all that is required to start it
e.g.    dosbox-x --conf "trek'24.conf"
(Yes, I would expect any variant of DOSBox to be sufficient)

I hadn’t used Brave before but have installed it to see if this blocking occurred for me too.

Yes, it’s definitely the Brave shield causing this (and it probably will block all other DragonRuby based games too) - if you set it Shields down for this site it should work as expected.

From your comment it’s not clear under what circumstances this message occurred, or what platform you were on, but it seems to say that the system asked for permission to do something and you denied it permission to do so?

:) It's just a little too fast for me to play but I think a younger me, when I was playing fast arcade games 40 years ago could have just managed - the speed peaks at level 26

Good! This one's hard - getting to 20 seconds will be a real challenge.

As someone new to ruby and DR - this jam came up at just the right time for me - having the 20 second constraint lead me to try a game genre I wouldn't consider for a full game.

I wanted to try for 2 entries to ensure I didn't procrastinate too much over the details, and as an excuse to stop polishing ;)

I've added the change you suggested - I wanted to test out the auto build and upload process anyway :)
