¡Gracias! Añadiré un obstáculo en futuras versiones.

Thank you! I'll get in touch asap (you can delete your reply if you like).

Hi! This music is awesome, I'm using some of it in my game. Is there any way to DM you? Thank you!

This is so cool and creative, I love it! (And I'm terrible at it)

Muy buen pixel art y la historia me tiene intrigado. ¡Deseando que llegue el juego completo! :)

Thank you! I'll take a look at that. :)

Hi all,

My name is Jorge Fernández, I have been working as a freelance linguist for 6+ years, and I have recently launched a new translation agency named Sunstone Localization. As game localization is one of our main specialties, I just thought someone here might be interested.

Although Sunstone Localization has only been around for a few months now, our team has previous extensive experience translating and editing video games, board games and tabletop RPGs. We have also successfully completed the localization to Brazilian Portuguese, German, Japanese, Korean and Simplified Chinese of Running on Magic, a project you can learn more about here. At the moment, we are working on other exciting game localization projects, but unfortunately I am not allowed to provide details about them just yet.

But how are we different from other localization companies?

  • We communicate with indie developers and publishers to better understand their specific needs.
  • We make sure our rates are fair both for our clients and for our vendors.
  • We advise you on anything you need regarding localization, including best practices such as crediting your game translators.

Last but not least, if you reach out to us saying that you saw this post, you will enjoy a 10% discount on total monthly amounts during three consecutive months (starting at your convenience). Please have in mind that our rates would be set taking into account several factors, such as complexity, schedule or language combinations.

Should you need help with any step of your localization workflow (translation, editing, proofreading, LQA...) or through its entirety, please contact us at info@sunstonelocalization.com. We will be glad to meet you and to offer a free, non-commitment consultation.

Thank you!

Jorge

Great art and story as always!

This is SO NICE! Great puzzles, cute pixel art, and those amazing Link's Awakening vibes... I love this game.

You're right, sorry! Thank you.

Glad you liked it, thank you! :)

I love it, impressive art! I actually found some questions quite tricky, great. Looking forward to playing the full version.

Hi!

Do you like old-school, challenging games with some unique feature? If so, take a look at my new early demo.

Be Brave, Bob! is a Game Boy game where you control a bubble in the ocean. And of course, you float!

I'll be happy to know your feedback.

Enjoy!

Thank you! That's a good idea. There's the built-in tutorial where you can move around and interact with things in the title screen, but still... I'll make sure to add a short explanation. :)

Wow thank you! That's too kind. Trying to push the engine's limits (and my own) with this one. I'll try your new game asap as well, it looks gorgeous!

Very cool!

Great game and impressive art!

Awesome, thank you!

Amazing game! I can't believe you've done all this with GB Studio's limitations. Is the full game going to have both physical and digital editions? Can't wait!

Thank you for your comment! Glad you enjoyed it, I'm already working on something new and hope I can show something soon. :D

Thank you Horatiu! I've really enjoyed translating Bitterroot. :D

Amazing story!

Wow! I hadn't thought of that. Foot swapping saved my life more than once. It's really amazing how real bouldering techniques work in your game. Congratulations!

Surprisingly realistic! Lacks some dynos though (just kidding). ;)

Great turn based combats and cool art! I'm still getting used to the different units, but this looks promising. Is this the final game or only part of something bigger?

Hi Decypher!

I've reading this and it sounds interesting! I assume you are planning to make games in English. If you're interested in translating them to Spanish, I would be glad to join your ranks. I'm a Spanish professional translator trying to expand my gaming portfolio.

In addition, I'm learning game design and development, and I could take an active part in the game writing/design if needed.

Please let me know if this is something you might be interested in.

Thank you!

EDIT: Forgot to mention that my discord is arrozpegao#6525

Hi all!

I'm a Spanish translator currently focusing on expanding my game localization portfolio. I can translate from English, French and Portuguese to Spanish (European). I am open to paid and unpaid projects, obviously with some conditions. :)

Paid Projects

  • If you plan to earn money with your game, this is a paid project.
  • If you're interested, but you think you can't afford it, please do not hesitate to ask me anyway. We can discuss it and maybe come to some agreement.

Unpaid Projects

  • If you are offering your game for free, this is an unpaid project.
  • Unfortunately, my free time is limited, so I cannot accept very large projects (more than 12,000 - 15,000 words or so).
  • I'd like to help you all, but you know that's impossible (again, we all have little free time), so I'll have to pick the unpaid projects I work on. Please don't be mad if I can't translate your game for any reason.

Please feel free to contact me with some information about your project, and we can discuss all the details. :)

Thank you!

Jorge

I'm intrigued to see that story. Looks fun!

Escape from the Tomb of Apep

Hi all!

I've just released my first game ever, Escape from the Tomb of Apep. It's a short game where you have to explore an ancient tomb, solve some puzzles and find your way out.

I used GB Studio to make it, so it works on a Real Game Boy or any GB emulator. And you can also play on the browser.

Any feedback is most welcome!

Thank you!
