Hi all,
My name is Jorge Fernández, I have been working as a freelance linguist for 6+ years, and I have recently launched a new translation agency named Sunstone Localization. As game localization is one of our main specialties, I just thought someone here might be interested.
Although Sunstone Localization has only been around for a few months now, our team has previous extensive experience translating and editing video games, board games and tabletop RPGs. We have also successfully completed the localization to Brazilian Portuguese, German, Japanese, Korean and Simplified Chinese of Running on Magic, a project you can learn more about here. At the moment, we are working on other exciting game localization projects, but unfortunately I am not allowed to provide details about them just yet.
But how are we different from other localization companies?
- We communicate with indie developers and publishers to better understand their specific needs.
- We make sure our rates are fair both for our clients and for our vendors.
- We advise you on anything you need regarding localization, including best practices such as crediting your game translators.
Last but not least, if you reach out to us saying that you saw this post, you will enjoy a 10% discount on total monthly amounts during three consecutive months (starting at your convenience). Please have in mind that our rates would be set taking into account several factors, such as complexity, schedule or language combinations.
Should you need help with any step of your localization workflow (translation, editing, proofreading, LQA...) or through its entirety, please contact us at info@sunstonelocalization.com. We will be glad to meet you and to offer a free, non-commitment consultation.
Thank you!
Jorge
