you're a treasure for playing ;-;

we love skeleton <3 i'm so stoked you're enjoying the game, and thank you so much for your time

i'm sorry the endings are a bit hard to get! there is an additional download available called "walkthrough" and it'll open up a text file that tells you which choices you need to get each ending!

thankyousososososomuch, i'm just so beyond happy that the story was so impactful to you <3

thank you so much for playing and for posting a video ;-;

it means the absolute world to me, and i can't wait to watch the vid!

the image just might be unity's texture glitching out thing - i wouldn't be able to really know without seeing it, and even then i probably wouldn't know lmao

unity automatically converts the vids codecs & i asked the other programmer who worked on this with me & he said it should be okay

as far as performance - we only have 1 thing stuffed into an update function, so there isn't a lot that's being constantly checked for in every frame & everything else is event based

however, i do use a particle system in unity's native features, and that can cause a lot of performance lag; my own laptop is shit and ran heavy when i first introduced it until i cut it down and optimized it a little lmao, so that might be why your pc is angry

dondon did a beautiful video!! it made me a cry a lil lmao cause he went through all the endings & analyzed them and the story in the exact way that i wanted the story to present itself <33

i had pre-existing knowledge of unity & C# and my partner (the other programmer) is a professional game dev for unity, whereas neither of us know renpy or light.vn. & since i only had a month to make this game, i didn't trust myself to learn a new engine alongside creating the game i had a specific vision for!

i need 3 business days to go ugly cry ;-;
thankyousomuch ;-;

;-; thankyousomuchimsohappyyouenjoyedit ;-;

i hold the wisps so close to my heart
thank you for playing it & streaming it ;-;

hey!!
i'm really sorry you experienced this :(

it sounds like there's some graphical errors happening - the image that looks like a signal test from a TV you mentioned isn't part of the game, but it sounds like that's happening around the time an ending video is supposed to play (which would also give the route a more satisfying ending, since you're missing out on the ending if you can't see the vid) :(

this is my first game so i'm not really an experienced dev, so the game probably runs a lot more heavy than it should since i haven't optimized it in a way a more senior person would!

i'm making a new update for it once i have the energy to hopefully trim down the file size, optimize it a little more, and add in some features/cosmetic tweaks based on other people's suggestions

if you wanna come back when i've uploaded a new version, i'd love for you to try it again! otherwise i would maybe suggest closing out the game and reopening it?

i'm really sorry again :(

thankyousomuchimjustsohappyyoulikedit ;-;
"hauntingly beautiful" is the whole vibe of what i intended so i just ;-; thank you again <33

ahhhhhhhhhhhhh thankyouthankyouthankyou ;-;

i am a puddle of tears no one look at me ;-;

thank you!! ;-; i was worried about pacing cause it's one of my writing shortcomings, but my co-writer is absolutely amazing with it and his work just really made it so much better, and i'm just so glad that you found the game beautiful ;-; thank you again <3

ahhhhhhhh thank you!! ;-; i hope the endings you got felt satisfying on their own <33

oh no!! i'm sorry about the constant clicking! auto is a built-in feature of naninovel, but i removed it since i was worried how it would interact with the endings - i'm planning on updating the game with some of the feedback i've gotten, and i'll include this one!!

but thank you so much ;-; ambience was definitely one of my key focuses, esp for a limited environment & i'm just so stoked it works ;-;

i'm holding this review so close to my heart ;-; i'm gonna frame it ;-;

thank you so much for your words & for your time <33

thank you so much ;-; i'm just beyond happy that the atmosphere comes through, i can't even describe, and i'm so happy that everything with the art & music & story seems to come together ;-;

definitely taking notes on better UI both menu & in-game, it was feedback during play-testing that they were a bit small & i increased the size, but it could def be bigger and more defined!!

thank you so much again for giving your time <33

ahh! i was pretty vocal about my game progress wasn't i lmao
the animations were a stretch goal for me! but i got the main game completed in time so i did it! :D i'm still stoked i didn't have to scope knife that aspect, and i'm so glad working on them was worth it if you think they're beautiful ;-;

thank you again for your compliments and giving your time ;-; brb i'm gonna go cry

;-; mr deer skull ;-;
ahhhh i'm just. thank you ;-; i'm so glad you found it beautiful ;-;

(and i also spent an irresponsible amount of time "playtesting" the perfectly working wisps lmao)

;-; thankyouthankyouthankyou ;-;
 we love deer skull guy in this house, he only wants the best for you <3

ahhhhh thank you!! surreal and poetic were definitely the vibes i was going for, so i'm so happy it came through ;-;

and thank you so much for the much-needed feedback - those menu buttons are definitely not responsive enough, i love super responsive buttons so that's one of the facets of this game i'd like to change (as soon as i find out how to make naninovel play nice with unity animations lmao) but i'm super stoked that you liked the atmosphere and tone, thank you so much again for playing ;-; i'm taking all of your feedback to heart to make any future games i make better <33

this is incredibly precious

thank you sososo much for playing, i'm beyond happy that the story affected you - though i hope the rest of your day is filled with cozy, gentle vibes to offset any remaining ache <33

thank you so much!!! ;-; i'm just so glad the emotion comes through - thank you again for playing <33

thank you so incredibly much for this thought out and much-needed feedback, literally everything i hoped for
for the technical side, naninovel does a lot of the features! i can't take credit for a lot of the customization options in the settings, but i'm still gonna take your feedback about loving them & plan to code my own versions of those features for a separate game im working on :D
diligently taking notes on your comments about the fade in for the music in loading and the sliders (WHICH BTW THANK YOU THOSE SLIDERS WERE THE BANE OF MY EXISTENCE FOR LIKE A DAY so dear god ty, i'm silly for not doing a mask)

and for the game side, i'm actually the artist! :D you can DM me on discord abt using his art! <3 and thank you so much for your compliments about the writing and story, i was worried about the limits i was forcing myself to do with the assets so i'm stoked that it wasn't too immersion-breaking looking at the same thing for a while!!

thank you again for your feedback, taking it to heart <3

he'd love any hugs <3333
im just. agh. i dont have the right words for how appreciative i am, just
thank you sosososososo much ;-;

ahh an IV drip of gothic horror romance isn't planned in the bug fixes right now, i'm so sorry ;-;
but no really, i'm so unbelievably stoked you loved the game, thank you so much for playing!!! <3

;-; thank you!! ;-;

1. the favicon is the most precious thing i've seen
2. i love their sprites and art so much
3. the writing and art are all so incredibly charming, i just really love how distinctive their personalities are ;-;

AND THAT TWIST TOOK ME BY SO MUCH SURPRISE

the negative art with white lines on a black background is really atmospheric and creates a sense of dread even before going into the story, and the red accenting all of the death just makes it even more impactful

the descriptions of each of the deaths were very visceral, wonderfully written <33 (also petting the woman's head was way too funny oh my god)

it's a lil delight of a game <33

thank you for playing it & reviewing it!! ;-; it means the world, and i'm glad the atmosphere came through in the game!

definitely taking notes on the endings being a bit difficult to help improve my future games <3

thank you so much!! ;-; i passed your comment along to the co-writer too, it really means a lot <3

hey!! im in the devtalk discord, and a couple of hours ago they said they opened up pages' ability to update their builds again <3

so you should be able to add a second build for anyone coming across your page and just have the original one available for judges :D your game looks so good and i'd love to play it <3

thank you so much!! ;-;

i'm so stoked you like the game! ;-; even more stoked that the story impacted you, hopeless romantics were definitely the target audience lmao

& if you're having some issues getting the other two endings, there should by a text file called "walkthrough" included in the download, it'll tell you the choices you need to pick for each ending! <3

will do! :D
