Oh, if I had known I would receive such a kind and thoughtful comment, I would have enjoyed the process of making this game even more!
Thank you so much for playing and for everything you said <3
Well, I've never had to use a sextant —and now, I know if my life depends on it, I'm doomed!
Nevertheless, for me, it was a really fun thing to mess with—since I didn't know with confidence what I was supposed to do or how, I just went for it and tried my best. Which — no surprise — it failed me.
If you're seeking feedback — I can say that it does become a little frustrating quite fast. If, somehow, you could divide the process into smaller, easier-to-reach steps — I think it could turn out pretty fun, since I would be receiving direct feedback from the game that I'm making the right assumptions about what the game wants me to do
But, to be honest, this is my first time seeing something like this. It is clear that you have a passion for it. And I'm glad you made this game.
I loved it!
It reminded me so much of flash games of yore. I would totally spend an afternoon playing something like this with passion in my eyes.
The art style is great, really concise and consistent—I loved the little mouse 'cards' that appear when you select one of your mice.
It took me a minute to figure out how I would achieve the goal since I was so enthralled by how well everything worked and behaved. The fact that you guys locked the other areas and revealed them once you reach a higher level on your throne was a nice touch in helping the players out.
Hope you guys are really proud of your work!
Thanks so much for playing and leaving a comment!
I tried to create a cute art style, even though I've never done it before. It turned out pretty great—but like with the programming and some bugs, we didn't have much time to fully flesh out and polish all of the ideas. One of the last things we added was the 'Restart' level button, since we encountered some minor issues as well >:
Anyway, I'm glad you liked it :D
I really like the ambiance in this game. The music and sound effects are so relaxing!
The game itself is quite simple, so, while it adds to the relaxing feel of the game - in the first levels, you can almost brute force your way to victory.
Except from the already mentioned bug that you can keep spinning the dices after you won and the visual/sound cue when you hit the desired number for a certain sub-area - there is nothing else i can add! A option to recolor the dices to make them more appealing, perhaps?
Great game - you should be proud!
