Thanks! I was actually planning on adding some of those types of graphical enhancements, but I unfortunately never got around to it. Your game was pretty fun as well!

Your feedback is appreciated. Thanks for playing!

Short and simple, but not bad! I noticed that a large portion of the obstacles were skippable if you just kept to the sides though.

That intro sequence was interesting. It was cool how you added some backstory to your game instead of just dropping us straight into the game from the start.

Nice job on going for the jam's theme! The twists you added to certain levels makes things fun and challenging. Though it did seem like at times if you approached the edges of platforms and tried jumping it wouldn't always jump. Might have just been me but certain platforms were a tad high and sometimes made me feel like I wasn't actually able to get to them. Regardless, I feel like this game's a bit underrated, it's a pretty interesting entry! Good job with it!

Interesting main mechanic, definitely not something I've ever thought of. Simple but appealing art. I like how after you die you can hover around the map in ghost mode, allowing you to look over the entire map and possibly plan for the next attempt. Creative game!

This is a really cool mechanic.  It really makes the player realize how much they take something as normal as jumping for granted. That was a very nice last level and it shows that you're seriously onto something here as far as puzzle platformers go. I could definitely see this getting more fleshed-out with additional pick-ups and levels. Well done!

Amazing visuals and genius gameplay design. I really like these types of buggy games where everything appears alright at first and then slowly gets worse and worse. Simple but smooth platforming and smart platform placements. Very nice!

Oooh this one is one of my favorites. I really like this old arcade beat-em-up feel. Reminds me of certain older titles. It's very satisfying to dodge attacks in succession once you get it down, and the buggy mode introduces some interesting changes. The upside-down part during the buggy mode was crazy. Nice and creative ideas throughout the game and nice artwork to top it off. Love it!

I really dig the glitchy, futuristic theme you've got going on for this game. The simplicity in the colors is also pretty nice with the blue and green glowing and sticking out. The particle effects for the trail and launch pad are also very cool. The level itself is also pretty creative and offers a bit of challenge during certain platforming parts. After I grabbed a key I was unsure about how to get down and just ended up falling to my death. Nice job, me.

Great game, good work!

This game did a great job with the bug theme. The random camera zooms and character size changes while jumping really nails the theme. It was a bit difficult to maneuver around certain parts, but the wall break mechanic seemed to make things easier. Overall, a solid entry and creative idea. Nice work.

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the silly death animation.

Thanks for trying it out! And sure, I can try your game later today when I've got the time.

Thank you!! Also yeah, making those simple animations were fun and I like the silly way they came out.

Yep, that was intended. I figured that it was pretty fun to hop between your own platforms so I allowed that to happen. I actually encourage the player to stay in air with their own webs during some portions, just for the challenge. Though that means for level design I had to design the stages where the player couldn't just cheese the whole thing by going over it all and completely avoiding everything. It was fun to think up the possible level ideas with that in mind!

Thanks for playing!

Wow, that's amazing that you said that because that's actually the series that I took inspiration from for this game. Originally I was planning on doing something similar to the minecart levels in those games, but I ended up with this instead since I wanted a "bug" of some sort in my game. DKC is definitely one of my favorite game series of all time.

Also, thanks for trying it out! It's much appreciated!

Probably the best overall entry that I've played in this jam so far. Really fun and replayable gameplay with easy to understand controls. Difficulty ramps up quite well, feeling easy at the start and gets progressively more difficult at a considerable rate. Good visuals and atmosphere. Making the level dark was a good choice since it contrasts well with the bright lasers, pick-ups, and slow-mo zones. The music is very fitting and it's cool how the track changes when you get damaged.

Very well done! I was able to get a score of 189 on my first attempt.

The player attacking against the boss is really fun and visually looks pretty great. The game was a bit loud though, and felt like there were a lot of inaudible sounds happening at once. The art assets are very stylish, unique, and eye-catching.

Not bad at all.

Interesting gameplay concept and nice level design to complement it. The music was very fitting as well. It was calming and seems like it's a good song to help you think.

Movement felt a bit strange and clunky at times, but I suppose that could mostly just be due to the gravity. Some of the bigger boxes obstructed my vision while I was carrying them and made it a bit hard to move around while carrying them.

Nicely done.

I'll start off with some (hopefully helpful) criticism.
The graphics text at the beginning was a little difficult to see in some areas, maybe an outline or different color to the text would make it more clear. Subtitles may have been nice as well since the robotic vocal effect, music, and other sounds made it a bit hard to hear the voice-over. It kinda hurt to spam my mouse, so maybe it would be better if you could hold it to fire (maybe just more of a personal preference). The enemy spawning particles were the same color as some of the enemies which made it a bit hard to see them, contrasting colors could be nice.

Now for the good.
It felt satisfying to shoot and the ability to right-click to aim was a nice touch. The upgrades gave a good sense of progression and made things more fun. The visuals were bright and stylish. The maps were large, roomy, and were nicely detailed. It felt like a lot of effort and love went into this project. Nicely done.

The visuals for the planets, environments, ships, and explosions/hits were pleasing to the eye. The text glow was also a nice touch. The enemy variants were also quite interesting. Constantly pressing spacebar was a bit tiring so maybe it would be better to be able to hold down the button instead. Solid and simple game like a game jam entry should be. Well done.

I was a bit lost. Maybe it's  just because I'm not used to these point-and-click games, but looking for the key at the beginning seemed strangely difficult. I'm not sure if I happened to miss hints or something for it. Eventually I was able to stumble across it and go on to beat the game. I think it wouldn't hurt to bump up the movement speed a bit as well. I don't want to end this review on a negative note tho.

The visuals were very nice, they had a nice style and were somewhat simple yet charming. The dialogue was well written and the fact that the characters were just colors (and were named after those colors) was pretty neat and creative.

Nice visuals and animations. The movement felt smooth and the ability to look at the map was a nice feature. I think some indication that the enemies were getting hit would be nice. Maybe like an animation, a color change, or a slowness/knock-back to their movement would make it more satisfying for the player. The spider enemies were really cool as well; nice artwork and positioning for them.

Nice visuals and style. Grapple mechanic felt a little strange and not entirely smooth, but it was possible to work around it but jumping while grappling. Short and sweet.

Was able to get to Level 25, things were pretty hectic. A nice and simple game.  Kinda cool how there were multiple player bugs shooting towards your mouse, and it just added to the craziness of it all.

Pretty solid game except for that duplication bug that you already know about. Controls are easy to understand and it's fun to make some simple structures. Also I really like how you implemented a day/night cycle as well as procedural generation, very cool touches.

Took me a few tries to realize that I could throw things into the abyss to craft minions, but once I did it was pretty neat. The artwork on the player and enemies looks pretty cool too. Nice work.

Liked the pixel art-style and the creative cooking concept. Watching things like bread and lettuce getting sliced was pretty cool and satisfying.

Thanks for trying it out, it's much appreciated! Expect to see this game finished in the next couple of days. I wish I could have finished before the deadline, but at the very least I'll have it done before the rating period ends.
