Thanks for the kind words! Development is going well, but slow since I'm working on this by myself. I'm aiming for a mid-2025 release assuming things go smoothly. I'll probably be releasing a new trailer with tons of new stuff soon, so stay tuned!

Thanks for the feedback! I do think skipping the dialogue might have created some difficulties, especially with the phone character at the beginning. He informs you about a switch to open a locked door that allows you into the next area, as well as the map being accessible by pressing "M". The game also does get a bit scarier as you progress and has more enemy variety to make things challenging. I do appreciate you taking the time to try my game out!
Thank you so much for the compliments and in-depth critique, it's very much appreciated! I'm really curious about this bug you mentioned, as I've never seen it before and it hasn't been mentioned by other players. Do you recall any specific instances of items that were missing besides the door switch? I know the difficulty settings will remove certain enemies and change some of the collectibles, but it shouldn't affect anything else as far as I know...
Addressing some of the other things you mentioned, I will probably power up the rifle a spec since others have said that it was a bit underwhelming in terms of effectiveness. I also do like the idea of patrolling enemies. The only problem is that they're all visually designed to be facing the player at all times like in Bad Toys, unlike Wolfenstein and Doom where the enemies have sprites for 8 different directions, so it looks more natural if they're moving away from the player. There will be a large variety of enemies though, with various attacks that should keep players on their toes! I'll have to look into the framerate situation, as far as I know, GameMaker automatically caps it at 60fps so I'm not sure what might be causing this issue.
All in all, this was a very informative critique, and you pointed out some issues that I missed like the gunshot sound not adjusting to the sound settings that I shall address. Thanks again for writing this up! And again, if you have any more information about this bug, definitely let me know!
Glad you liked the game, and your commentary on it was great! Thanks for playing!
Just one question, at around 10:57 in your video, it looked like the screen blacked out for a bit. Was that some kind of video glitch or did it happen in-game? I think I've seen it happen before in another video, so I'd like to address it if it's an issue!
Thanks for playing through the game, especially the last few levels since I've been wanting to see someone go through the maintenance tunnels and the boss fight. Glad to see that the map made navigation easier this time around!
The early Windows era certainly was a weird time, but I always loved the feel of it!
Hey everyone, I've recently released the first part of Toyful Wonderworld, which was built off of my previous Bad Toys fangame. I haven't really received much feedback, so I'm hoping to get some opinions on my game to help me improve it for the full release.
Toyful Wonderworld, The First Part
I'd mainly like some feedback on the mechanics and gameplay. Most importantly, I wanna know if it's FUN. Please give it a shot and let me know what I can do to improve the experience.
Thanks for the kind remarks, I really appreciate it! Unfortunately, due to potential copyright issues, this project won't be continuing under the Bad Toys branding, at least for now. That's why I made Toyful Wonderworld as a sort of spiritual successor. It plays very similarly, and is still heavily inspired by Bad Toys, but all the visuals were rebuilt from the ground up. The full game will also have more variation in the level design, and more scares of course!
When I finish this, I may go back to The Other Mission and add more to it if there is high demand. Thanks again for playing!
It's the other ending for completing the hardest difficulty. That loveable fellow returns as a more active threat in this game's spiritual successor, Toyful Wonderworld. It features much of the same levels but redone with my own visuals. The full game will ultimately continue the story established in this one!
Introducing the spiritual successor to my Bad Toys fangame, known as Toyful Wonderworld. The first set of levels for this game is on sale now, with significant improvements to the gameplay experience, and overhauled visuals handcrafted by yours truly!

Well, you appealed to my inner Bad Toys fanboy, so I put together a keyboard controls version to try! Hopefully it plays okay for you. It's like hard mode for me since I'm not good at aiming without a mouse. You can also still strafe while holding the Shift key. Let me know if everything works okay!
I'm currently reconfiguring this demo into a new game with the original content I created, so it will be its own thing but still heavily inspired by Bad Toys visually and story wise. That being said, there will be multiple control options this time around including exactly what you suggested, so stay tuned!
Hey there, thanks for playing! Yeah, the lag thing is still a problem I'm trying to figure out. The health items do give less health on the harder difficulties, but if it's on the same save at a lower difficulty, then that's probably a bug. The current game is being overhauled with my own artwork and a different save system. I'm still very much a beginner when it comes to game development, so this will take some time. I'm glad you enjoyed it though! I will hopefully release a demo for the updated game soon, with the redone artwork.
Well, wicked IS in my name! I definitely tried to match the art style as much as possible, so that everything blends together well. I haven't really played any Doom mods, but I've seen many videos on them including Day of the Toys, which I though was great! I remember thinking that those purple bunnies sounded REALLY familiar! I also liked the designs of your enemies and their funny animations. You did a great job on it!
Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, getting basic 3D to work in Gamemaker wasn't easy for me. Had to find many different tutorials and try to get everything to work together properly, but I think it came out well so far. And many of the sounds do come from the original, while all the new characters were voiced by yours truly.
I left a rating and comment for your game as well, great job so far!
I really enjoyed this! There's a lot of personality with your characters here, especially with the singing quartet at the beginning. I also like how you're given different choices with different outcomes for the dialogue, even when restarting the demo. Speaking of which, I do have one gripe. Your funny musical characters wouldn't let me listen to their song again and called me a weirdo. In fact, a lot of your characters were calling me names like "human", when I am in fact, a fig.
In all seriousness though, it's a great start and the music sounds wonderful! Looking forward to seeing more, especially with the interesting gameplay mechanics!
My game is essentially a fangame, a sequel to an old 90s game called Bad Toys 3D. It recreates the basic Wolfenstein-like engine of the original game and uses a mix of assets from Bad Toys 3D, as well as new stuff created by me. The final game will ultimately have all the reused characters replaced with my own creations, but for now, I'd like to get some feedback on the gameplay! It's fairly basic by design, like the original game, but it can get pretty challenging as you progress.
It's a fairly long demo with 8 levels, but if anyone can try the first few and let me know what you think about the gameplay, I would appreciate it!
Hey, thanks for the compliments! Glad you're enjoying the game so far. It can get pretty challenging, especially if you play the higher difficulties. Remember to use the computers to save your progress so you don't have to start over when you lose your lives! Thanks again, and if you do make a video, let me know. I'm curious to see how other people approach playing the game!
Just posted my first game, a fan-made sequel to Bad Toys 3D from the 90s! While it uses assets from the original game, it also features new enemies and weapons created by me. This is a goofy 3D shooter with some creepy stuff mixed in, so please give it a try!
