Perhaps it was an automatic system failure. We apologize.

Unfortunately, this is a game convention that we have to accept. We tried several other formats of game mechanics, but they turned out to be not balanced or interesting enough.
Therefore, we will take a step back and take a working and time-tested battle mechanic.
We also considered all other mechanics, including turning the game into a kind of "Heroes of Might and Magic", but then it would affect the main story gameplay even more.
As a result, it was decided to focus on a proven scheme - a roguelike as a "core" gameplay and story progression in the "meta".
Hi! Thank you for your feedback. Yes, we are currently working on improving Journey mode - you can read more about it in the latest dev diary.
Regarding crashes - we have heard about this a few times, but no error logs have been sent to us yet. Because of this, we have no way to understand the problem.
After the next crash, if you have the opportunity, please send us the log file on Discord. It's located in C:\Users[USER_NAME]\AppData\LocalLow\Wild Pear\Magic Academy and named Player.log and Player-prev.log.
As an experiment, this week I plan to release test changes to this mode for some subscription levels.
I want to convert the system into a card roguelike, increase the map size, give out new cards for battles and some objects on the map, add special "healing" buildings where you can restore health.
Leveling up outside of adventures will unlock new card options for dropping into adventures and improve some of the player's stats.
Let's see if this can change the current "boring" game cycle.
We are still thinking about what can be done with the current situation.
The main problem is the accumulating power of the player, which becomes ultimate over time, and we just have to change the numbers to challenge the player.
I'm sure the mode can be made more interesting, but I'm not sure what exactly should be done with it. In the background, I finished prototyping a new mode.
One of the options I'm keeping in mind is to make the current mode closer to roguelikes - change the spellbook to a "card roguelike" so that the player levels up and collects their deck within a single journey.
This will simplify the balancing task for me, reducing it to balancing within a single game run.
Hi. Most likely, you won't be able to do this. We had the idea to implement cloud saves, but it's not a priority right now.
Saved files are stored on your devices in the ../storage/emulated/<userid>/Android/data/com.WildPear.MagicAcademy/files folder.
But I don't know if it's possible to access them without root privileges.
Which version of the game are you playing? In Previously versions, while completing this quest, you could accidentally leave the second floor of the tavern before finding the room.
But in the new version, this should have been fixed.
You needed to click on all the doors on the second floor of the tavern: read 2 dialogues, watch the scene with Lillian, and then you would automatically start a dialogue that would take you to the Spy's room.
Try loading an earlier save, or, unfortunately, start a new game.
Hi! Thank you for such detailed feedback.
- The number of days doesn't affect anything right now. In the future, we will tie this to other game mechanics, but there will be no penalties for "too many days" - everyone should be able to play at their own pace.
- Journey mode is a big pain for us precisely because of the "difficulty curve" and progression. Therefore, we decided to replace it with a different format closer to a roguelike, which will save us from problems with the increasing power of the player between journeys. We simply do not have enough hands to develop some ambitious things, and we still need to finish the mechanics of managing the Academy.
- Tom has changed several times, because of this, probably, some of the text remained from his "old" personality, and some is already written for the "new" one. Because of this, there is a feeling of a split personality. We will try to allocate time to proofread it.
- Costumes for other characters will appear in Olivia's shop as soon as our artist finishes them. This will be in one of the next intermediate updates.
Hello. After choosing a specific Journey, a panel opens where you can select the spells you'll take into your spellbook. At the top are the known spells, and at the bottom are the spells in your spellbook. Apparently, you started the game without taking any spells. We would prohibit this, but in the next update, we plan to completely remove this mode, replacing it with another.
Thank you for the detailed feedback. Do you work as a QA? :D
I was surprised that the game started crashing frequently - we haven't encountered this before and haven't changed anything serious, except for updating the engine version.
Could you play again and send us the log file on Discord after the next crash? I would like to fix such an unpleasant bug as soon as possible.
- I will look into the issue with the game menu
- I will check and correct the speaker in the dialogue with Tom
- Live2D was used for character animations in the scenes. I will set myself the task of studying whether any "bones" can be made interactive. But most likely not.
- "Stick damage" is left over from the first iteration of the adventure mode - then it was a basic attack that didn't require mana. Now it's "base damage" in some spells. We are going to completely replace this mode in the near future, as it is too boring - first you grind with no chance of winning, and then you defeat everyone with no chance of losing. We are developing something more dynamic - you can read about it in our latest devlogs.
Thanks again for such detailed feedback.

Player-prev.log.
This sounds a bit unexpected. Which version are you using and what are you playing on? What do you mean by "tend to crash during dialogues"? Does any message appear? Or does the game just close?
Could you please send us in Discord the log file after another crash? It's located in C:\Users[USER_NAME]\AppData\LocalLow\Wild Pear\Magic Academy and named Player.log and Player-prev.log.
