Hey! Thanks for messaging! You're absolutely and definitely welcome in the team! I use Musescore sometimes, so that'd be nice. Ableton is a very nice DAW too, so feel free to use it, yeah! Would you be ok with commenting what your Discord nickname is, so I can add you? Thanks for replying and looking forward to it!
Hey again, Ican! Thanks for taking the time to reply!
I'm sorry about you not being able to use Discord, and I understand you have your reasons, don't worry. Although to be 100% honest, it's going to be super difficult otherwise.
So I wouldn't recommend using Steam because it will make this too complicated for everyone. I really thank you so much for being there and wanting to help.
I guess for now it's best to say maybe next time would be a better option than right now due to what I explained. But I really thank you for showing your interest and I super appreciate it! By all means please stay motivated and I wish you the best of lucks in the jam!
Hello Ican! Thanks for messaging here! We're beginning to prepare something leaning toward the orchestral side of things, but since you mention FL Studio (which is the DAW I use), and if you're okay with Orchestral stuff and helping out with the harmony of things (which shines a lot in 8-bit music), then I can send you a message. If you have a Discord that'd be 100 times better than Steam as Discord is a lot more organized and easier to use. We can't have more than 3 active composers in the team (We're already two), so if you can let me know as soon as you can, then that'd be best!
Thank you!!
Hello Zachary! Fantastic, really cool! I'm sending you a message on Instagram.
We're just starting to prepare and organize ourselves for the jam, so you've arrived on the right time. :)
Also, since this is a jam, we'll have to prepare the OST music from scratch. I know it sounds a bit counter-intuitive but we'll try to make sure when recording the instrument parts for the OST, we can recycle as much from the recordings we do as possible (I love composing using a "seamless loops" sort of workflow), we'll try to see together as a team what works best based on the Theme and rules of the Jam.
Okay, I'll message you, be sure to check your inbox soon!
Hey! That sounds great! I'm used to the FL Studio DAW, I've recently updated to the 2024 version. Cubase is great and I wish I could switch to it someday, I fear I'll miss the ease-of-use of the Piano-Roll in FL when switching, since that's the way I'm used to for composing. If you're okay with both of us using different DAWs, that's going to be awesome. We could try sharing MIDIs and stems to integrate both projects together.
I'll DM you on Discord!
