We are happy that enjoyed it :-)

Try and see how far you can get at the last tier ;-)

Thank you for the great feedback! That's exactly the effect that we were going for ;-)

Admittedly this could have used some refinement. We intended that when it gets dicey you use your abilities to create space for you to collect the essences. This was meant to encourage smart management of abilities and cooldowns while also introducing some risk.

Waves never end, but I won't give away spoilers. Try to finish the prototype to experience some eye candy ;-)

There is a feint aiming triangle under the character that follows the mouse position. The sword will always inflict damage on that cone. We can look at ways to improve the visibility of this or refine the character position to make aiming feel more natural and intuitive.

Great feedback! Thanks!

So there's a funny story behind this one... Our maths guy tweaking the mechanics of enemy spawns has a deep passion for this sort of thing.

One night we had this exchange:

Maths guy:  Woah this is intense!
<Some time passes play testing>
Maths guy: Guys! I've mastered Endless mode! I will never die!
Sound guy: But Maths guy, you built the algorithm XD

Needless to say, we learned a lot from building this and this is great feedback. Thank you!

Admittedly we wanted to spend more time on balance and progression to make it feel better. You've highlighted something important for us that we could have explained better: the damage. When the light gets overwhelmed it will start to dim. When the light fully dims it will start taking 1 point of damage per second. The player can then clear the enemies around the light to let it shine brighter again and stop taking damage.

This is great feedback! Thanks!

Very Nice Mechanics and Ideas, the odd "Hey! Don't Touch Me!" and "I can't stay like this forever" were nice touches and made it feel very fun. And then I had the Oh snap. Can xxx xxx xxxx? Cool! moment (No spoilers, not sure if this was intentional). Very clever attention to detail

This is very cool. That moment when Umbra lights up from carrying the vile made me realize there is something special here—well done on your first Jam!
