- I'd say the highlight of your game were the borderline over-the-top magic effects - they were really fun to use. I would however have liked to see more content and more attention put into balancing and variety in gameplay. Overall a satisfying game to play - nicely done.

Good game, had fun! Feels like the light gets swarmed too fast though, like I'm always next to it trying to kill stuff. Or I just suck :D
The sound of that beam xD (my dog almost died)
Game looks stunning and sounds great - the enemy design is soooo good!
If you are already using size scaling to indicate the strength (HP) of the enemy than why won't you just make it so it gets smaller with every hit? That way there will be no doubt how many times do I have to hit an enemy.
Losing HP felt really weird for me, my 1st thought was I cannot let them touch the light but just to test it I left it for a while and got -1 after like 5-10 seconds?
Collecting 2000 to unlock 4th stage was a pain, with no added variety it felt like for ever and was just tedious.
Overall cool little game with stunning visuals.
Good job!
PS.
No idea where the alchemy theme went tbh.
nice game, I died a few waves after endless mode starts
We are happy that enjoyed it :-)
Try and see how far you can get at the last tier ;-)
This was really fun! Abilities were really satisfying and would love to see more.
Thank you for the great feedback! That's exactly the effect that we were going for ;-)
Dig the game, game is intense, I cannot seem to get away to grab the purified essence from the shadows that I have vanquished. Pity the Essence doesn't land closer to the light on about 50% of the occasions of slaying them.
I'm not sure if the Waves ever end and begin again, I might not have got that far.
I've noticed the Sword swinging doesn't follow your head. which makes predicting where you're going to swing next tricky
Admittedly this could have used some refinement. We intended that when it gets dicey you use your abilities to create space for you to collect the essences. This was meant to encourage smart management of abilities and cooldowns while also introducing some risk.
Waves never end, but I won't give away spoilers. Try to finish the prototype to experience some eye candy ;-)
There is a feint aiming triangle under the character that follows the mouse position. The sword will always inflict damage on that cone. We can look at ways to improve the visibility of this or refine the character position to make aiming feel more natural and intuitive.
Great feedback! Thanks!
Great work for your first game jam! The art, lighting, shading, and music/sounds were all great!
