This is one of the most amazing pieces of art I have ever laid my eyes upon. Thank you.

Well polished, minimal artstyle! Took me a while to get the hang of it, but once it clicks, it works and is pretty fun!

The higher speeds seem almost impossible to me tho, haha. Could be fun with touch controls too!

Cute and simple, got through after a few tries.
Gets a little easier once you realize you can reset by clicking even after shooting, so the whole screen doesn't reset. Sometimes hitboxes seem to be bigger than the sprites.

Would've been nice to get a compiled version so we wouldn't need to download löve.

You need Löve to run it, it's a pretty small download.

Really cute, short game. Took me a while before understanding that I need to click all sides of the box, and that I can change direction mid-flight. Maybe you could add controls and instructions to the game, or the itch page.

The background image of the grass looks a little out of place, replacing it with something more fitting with the overall artstyle of the game (or just a single-colored background) could improve visuals a lot!

Got the price in the end!

Insane how you got this done so fast, this seems like it would actually sell at a reasonable price.

Maybe it is because I am bad, but I have no idea how others manage this on hard mode. I'm just happy I guessed all the pokemon on easy!

Also really like the relaxing music and SFX when "feeling" around.

I saw your discord channel, so I know it was the inspiration, but I really love the A Link to the Past vibes, both in music and in style. Very creative concept of having to go through the dungeon, too!

The music seems to stack on top of each other, every time I enter a new level, and at some point, it unfortunately becomes very loud and hard to bear. Hope you will find time to fix that, because it is a really cute game otherwise!

Good old Peterbert.

Nice and simple concept, well executed! Great art, SFX, and ambiance! Feels surprisingly relaxing for such a stressful job.

If I mash the red/green buttons it seems to count single boxes multiple times, which leads to either very good scores, or instant game over. (Also, I'm not convinced something good is ever in the "do not open"-boxes, haha)

I really like the daytime changing in the background too!

Great way of telling the story! Also, super fun take on a platformer - you can't even jump.

Nice way of including the theme too. Some SFX could really bring this game to life.

The only way for me to get it to work was to use the browser version and make it fullscreen (in case others have problems with it too).

Awesome art and way of telling an interesting story!

The main menu music was really loud compared to the normal BGM for me on headphones. Also, dying feels really punishing, having to go through everything again. I think you mentioned on stream, that you changed it so that one can only throw the balls horizontally, to make it more challenging, but I think allowing for aiming with the mouse would have made it more fun, or fair (to me).

The art and style of the sidescrolling level are amazing, I really like the parallax scrolling in the back and the sprites in the foreground. Also, the technique used in the opening, with a static background and animated characters, looks really good.

箱の森だね、素晴らしい

Wonderfully polished animations and style, fun to play, explosions are awesome, and Gamebert is even more awesome.

If only there were more games about Gamebert and boxes!

Adjustable volume would've been a great addition, the bgm can get really loud, but you don't wanna miss out on the ending tune.

(1 edit)

I have never raged so much at a raccoon-like animal before! (I know they're badgers, haha)

Fun to play and to watch, and easy to understand. Getting presents stolen can be a bit confusing at first. At some point, there were so many badgers in the yard that they blocked each other from escaping, hehe.

Well done on finding the secret good ending! And thanks a lot for playing our game!

Originally we wanted to create a sense of stress and urgency, but in hindsight, you are certainly right - dialogue boxes should've paused the game.

Heya, thanks so much for playing our game! I really loved watching your video too, hahaha - wasn't even aware of those glitches before!

Heya, thanks for playing it!
The difference is indeed not explained anywhere, because we like it when players discover some of the mechanics for themselves while playing. To explain it simply tho, you can only Blast while falling, and Glob while flying upwards!
