I was intending for the passive upgrades to work only for the best, and I plan to find a solution to that problem. As for the bag issue, I'll look into that. Thanks again!

Wow! Okay alot of helpful feedback (Thanks!). Yes, in regards to the stats, that will come in a future update. As for the green 'bug' (I meant for it to be a crab), it is mean to stay on the map; anything green is 'persistent' and doesn't go away when they die (like the green grapes). However, the shaking is an issue, and will be fixed. Once again, thanks for playing!
Thanks for the feedback! I realize that the damage thing is pretty unclear (I'm making a remastered version of the game) so will probably add some indicator (player flashing red/white, screen shake, etc.). For the strategic side, do you have any suggestions?
btw your submission was amazing :0. Its so good that I'd be willing to play it regularly in a non-jam context.
