Ah no worries! I totally understand having the random tech issues.
Thanks for checking out Swamp Stew!
Very cool wave-based defense game!
It took me a little while to figure out how the ammo-types work together with targeting enemies, but once I figured it out, it made a lot of sense.
Like avit0r said, it is pretty tough to lose. It'd be cool to see an escalation in difficulty, or variation within the arcade games. Or even some special attack abilities!
Well done!
Fun and great combination of all 3 themes!
The art style is very cool! At times it did make it a little tricky to read the text or see depth.
The controls were a little tricky with WASD / Arrow keys for diagonal movement. I didn't realize pouncing costed lives until after playing the game.
The character AI and telegraphing was very well done!
Good job!
It's a really cool concept!
The art and animations are fantastic! The parallax background turned out really well. The alligator chomp was really well done.
I liked being able to use the fishing pole in multiple ways, like collecting different materials.
I think I ran into some bugs that kinda shortened the game (but it's totally ok, I get it!). I couldn't seem to catch more than one fish, and I wasn't able to collect any other materials like rocks or branches from the trees, so I'd die when the alligator came along.
The fishing minigame was fun! I would have liked to see some feedback on whether a fish was caught or not. Even if it's just a green checkmark or a red X because I wasn't really able to tell if I would get one.
I definitely want to try out the crafting if you choose to keep working on this game (if not, no worries!)
Nice work!
Really cool auto-battler! I had fun experimenting with the mechanic and learning it. I like the potential of the combining mechanic.
It was cool getting a front-line sweeper with a high attack. It did end up feeling a bit cheap that a high attack unit wouldn't take any damage. After the 1st couple waves, the game is pretty much won. But there's lots of opportunities for different challenges.
I think it'd be cool to hover over the purchased units to see unique combination names and with how many more combinations they have left.
Nice job!
I like the vampire-survivors feel! (I'm not sure if there's a name for that genre) The auto-aiming worked well, and I was impressed about how fun it was for there being a single weapon and a single enemy type.
I'm not sure if it was intentional or not, but I liked how the slimes seemed to stick to the player. I found that rubbing against the trees helped get them off, which I thought would be a clever mechanic to add depth to the genre without adding any new controls.
It's a pretty neat minute or two of fun.
Well done!
