This game is meant to be played in groups of 3-4 players! I’ll make sure to update the description so it’s more clear. Unsure why i never thought of listing the player count for my games until you mentioned it lol

i designed it solo-first, with the idea that in a group of 4, each player would control one adventurer. that is to be refined as i try my hand at layout! rules for specific numbers of players will be solidified.
thoughts-forming edit: the idea i had in mind was for the player(s) to be mostly hands-off on what happens to the adventurers, taking more of a backseat to see what unfolds in narrative. Players take more control over adventurers in combat when using Commands, but it’s still mostly up to the Command Check. NPCs are “scripted” by their Command/Activity Lists and information is open, so the player(s) manage them in a similar fashion to the adventurers. A GM/combat manager can be assigned in group play, but it’s not expected. i’ll see if i can maybe assign player “roles” to specific mechanics so it moves smoother in groups?
hey! i’ve followed this project for some time now! have you considered “itchfunding”, where you set a funding goal that’s public? i’ve seen a few ttrpgs hit them successfully, so i’m letting you know that it exists! whether or not you decide to itchfund, get paid!!! i wish you and your team well, and am excited for the future of bludgeon!!
Yep! I have the primer written! i’ve posted an old version on the “official” discord, but it’s since been changed. i have a bit more to polish since it feels too unfocused still.
The Champion’s Aetherdome is the home of the largest mythosports arena on this side of the continent! …At least, is what the bright signs say as you’re ushered past the endless pack checks, scowling security, and shelves filled to the brim with merchandise of the recent bout. The Aetherdome is booming with its most profitable industry, mythosports - and with it, the great city promises its citizens luxury, its refugees “safety”. Though, how did it get to be this grand? What’s happening to most of the districts at night? The city’s elite have access to insidious methods to control the populace, and they’re sated enough to not notice or care for the details…
fantastic game!! I’ve only ran into one design issue so far, which is when i’m able to beat a gym leader through RNG, but get stuck on the next level’s trainers (this is especially bad at the level 5 power spike) Is it possible to add a flyback button to all areas in a zone, and not just the area right before the gym leader? Thanks for all you’ve done!
