Yeah, realised a little late in development (think about 40 minutes before deadline) that this isn't really a game, then spent 20~ minutes just sulking/trying to think of a way to make it actually playable to no real avail. I sort of added asteroids that'd spawn to destroy constructions but unity decided it wasn't having my scripts any more (no idea what was up with that)

Yeah, kudos to MNix for making the art as good as he does. You can set the girders spinning with Q and E, but if I was going to do it again I think I'd have an option to rotate them by a set value as well.

Kerbals was pretty much the original "what if we do construction but in space" idea we had to begin with. Rocket launching seemed too much like a couple of the other games we've done so I decided to try bridge builders.

Yeah, is a bug with the spawning mechanic that I never really thought of a good way to solve.

(1 edit)

"I think I saw some objects increase my debt lol." Yup! I coded the variable that tracks money value to take into account the distance really early in dev, I forgot to absolute the value before multiplying it so it'll come out negative if the
objects you pick up are to the left/below the base.
I've liked to have the boulders as terrain but I ran out of time to add the colliders, unfortunately.

Oh no there's a major bug.

Main thing I found was that the gluon mechanics to make a staircase didn't seem to work, I'm not sure if there was a lack of understanding on my part or controls weren't entirely explained, but the red guy just sort of disappeared on pressing Q (I think it was Q) and the only way to do anything past that was to press Q again to make him reappear, thus I couldn't progress. I'd recommend building for WebGL in the future as it'll mean you'll get more ratings, since people can run the game in the browser quickly without having to download files.

Otherwise it's an interesting entry on a theme which was vague at best. Good luck on the next one!

Yeah, we realised about 20~ minutes before the end that we weren't going to get multiple levels done and working, so I somewhat haphazardly threw pots everywhere. I make no promises that it is actually winnable.

No, it was all made within the three hours. I do the programming/setting it all up in Unity, Mnix does the Audio/graphics.

Thanks!

Which bit, specifically?
