no kidding. My team had to wipe so much from our game that I can't wait to fix up and get running properly. Hard to find the time.

Thanks for the review! I agree with a lot of the views you have stated.

As i've stated in another response, the initial plan was to curtail particular instruments/rhythms to the NPCs that you see scattered around. We'd have them randomly spawn and request instruments or song types that you then had to accommodate by moving instruments around.

I agree that having the option to turn off instruments would be a nice addition.

It's funny that you bring up Sound Shapes. That game was part of what sparked this idea!

To make a long story short; we just ran out of time. This rendition of our idea was slapped together in the final hour and a half as I wanted to show off our instrument pairings to go with the theme. I believe this is a novel and interesting idea. I plan to rework the code to make it fit more of a proper game with set goals and rankings to beat once the game jam voting session is over.

There definitely was a plan like you are stating. The plan was to spawn NPCs (the ones you see scattered around the map) craving particular instruments and rhythms. It would be up to you to properly line up the instruments to appease the dancers. Think Overcooked, but with music.

What?! The birds directly hit the kite for me every time and either froze or reset the game. That is such a good idea!

I'm going to be doing the same with our game. We ran out of time, so we couldn't fully implement NPCs requesting songs or instruments and showing their distaste if the wrong instrument/rhythm is played around them.

Great game idea! It fits the theme perfectly! Only problem I had was the insane acceleration when fused together.

Hard to believe you guys made this in 2 days. Crazy!

I love the design! Your artists did a great job. The wall art looks like it could fit in a AAA game.

The theme is clearly shown here. Great puzzle mechanics. Good job!

Good job on the parkour mechanics.

First game I've seen use the "joining" theme in the storyline.

Good job! I was a little confused at first, thinking the AOE color grading would correspond with the type of asteroid I can destroy, but I think you nailed the theme of joined together! However, I don't see anything regarding splitting up. Perhaps I'm missing something?

Solid game though! I could see playing that for a few hours.

What Eduardo said. I didn't realize I lost all my bees! A counter or something in the corner would help!

The game was very easy to figure out and get started. I should use the slow down time mechanic more. It's probably why Eduardo and I lost so many bees!

Love the idea of each animal being used in different ways! I was able to intuitively figure out that the fish can be used to blockade other animals. Really good job!

Like what mxdirector said, the movement was really slow. If I would change one thing, I would make all movements happen simultaneously. As if the movements are also "joined" together. ;)

Very cute game idea! I can see how the game fits with the "joined together" portion, but what about the splitting apart? Is it the wind and kite "joining" together causing lift, but splitting up causes you to fall?

In any case, I really enjoy the game idea. I like the obstacles you threw in the air as well. Super cute! I understood what to do in the game almost immediately (a few seconds after dragging the kite behind me lol).
