This is a very fun and challenging game! However, all the flashing sprites against the black hurts my eyes.

NES Jam community · Created a new topic Good luck everyone!

I'm excited to see the results!

(I hope no one cheated and made the game before the jam started)

Pixel Emulator is a good font. http://www.fontspace.com/pixel-sagas/pixel-emulator

Your not supposed to submit your game on the day it starts. You have to make the game first.

If you don't mind me asking, why are you backing out? Or is it for personal reasons you wish not to tell.

I'm just wondering what tools everyone is planning on using for their project.

I am going to use,

  • Gamemaker: Studio
  • FL Studio 12
  • FamiTracker
  • Bfxr
  • Adobe Photoshop CC 2017
  • And possibly Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2017

I'm curious to see what other people will be using.

I know i'm not the OP, but I still found this very useful. Thanks for sharing this!

A great website for creating 8-bit sounding sfx is bfxr. http://www.bfxr.net/

I use it all the time!

    Thanks! ^.^

The engine I'm choosing is Gamemaker Studio 1.4. However, I don't know how to use the resolution given,  and scale it up to a standard resolution.

Does anyone who uses GMS know how to go about doing this?
