Correct! This game started out as a Game Jam game back in 2022, and has been hosted here since. Now with the game where it's at, we continue to host it here and as a demo on Steam.

When the full release drops on Steam, it will also drop here on Itch for all the lovely folks who use this platform.

Hope that helps, enjoy playing!

Hello, thank you for enjoying the game! There are a couple unofficial discord communities that you can find through the r/mushroommusume subreddit, if you have any interest. Cheers!

Hi there, dev who worked on that event in particular here:

You are most definitely on an older version, sorry to say, and the way we had to fix it makes retroactive save files in that area usually non-compatible with the update

Very sorry for the trouble there, that bug in particular was actually one that stumped all of us for quite some time

Thank you for the work you've done, I love hylics-style art, so the comparison is deserved. I hope you're able to keep this borderline-unsettling style going, because it just gives SO MUCH

Much peace, well wishes, and hopes towards the future

Hope you're able to revisit the kid's story along with the revenger's

Who knows, there may be a certain waif who comes by to pull it all together 👀

Again, thank you for playing; cheers, friend~!

Very much infatuated with the art style of this. It's reminiscent of Hylics, but with the addition of being able to create your own frankenstein out of the parts.

The music is also very fitting and definitely adds to the aesthetic of the game - somewhere between unease, and groovy arthouse.

Congrats on the submission, and cheers!

This is such a cool concept, I'm primarily a composer, so making beats really appeals to me, and the mechanic of hitting on the beat makes your composition feel that much more alive.

The art direction is very cute too~ the movement of the sprites feels natural and the punch animation really holds it's weight, especially when hitting on the beat.

It'd be cool to see further development on this, It was a really fun five or so minutes!

Bahaha, this is great. Who needs soapbox derby when you got toilet-trash derby?

I love the way the devs made the construction mechanic, it's simple, but allows for some seriously wild creations. There's also something about my arm flying off and getting caught in the wheels, or tailing behind me and essentially slapping the schmuck behind me in the face that just adds a nice seasoning of goofy randomness in each run that's just wonderful.

And shoutout to the music, it really nails what the game is - though that stage four music was enchanting, it felt... mario adjacent? Maybe it's the space setting with the background but it gave off some good "Rainbow Road" vibes.

Congrats on the jam, devs - cheers!

This was very cute! The art style is endearing and the color palette is nice and calming. The procedural generation aspect is a bold choice but it works very well, I can see a lot of potential for this.

Also, the blupies are charming little goobers, I'm interested in what all could be put in this game for collecting and crafting, if the dev has interest in continuing with the project.

Oh, almost forgot, but the lighting? *chef's kiss* It really adds to the vibe and gives the greater aesthetic a certain whimsy that's hard to pin down. It just makes this cold color palette feel so warm and inviting - I wanna keep helping out the blupies and getting lost in the procedural generation; absolute vibes coming off here, love it.

(1 edit)

I don't know what to call them,  so for the sake of simplicity I will refer to them as "Scrundlekins" because why not

Anyway, this game is incredibly charming. Right off the bat, the art style is this perfect blending of cartoon and fantasy, that while being paired with the music (that sounds so good, very reminiscent of Sid Meyer's Civilization), just sucks you right in.

When it booted up, my cursor was on the side of the screen, so it panned halfway across the map, but I panned it back once I figured out what I was doing and got to work producing my scrundlekins. It was a nice difficulty curve because it felt challenging, while being forgiving. I had plenty of time to realize that I just needed to make more scrundlekins and the returns of goods would increase exponentially.

It was pretty surprising though, to scroll across the screen more than I had been and find out there are rival scrundlekins and this is a war, I just thought there was like an end point after waves of hogs, haha. But that upped the ante just that much more.

I saw the unreachable unlockables btw devs. This is your encouragement to continue. Seriously, this has so much potential and marketability. I'm here begging for a difficulty setting, because I beat the game before I even got any sword troops. Like, I just had a boatload of leather and wood so I sent out two waves of shield scrundlekins - full on Roman Phalanx style (and it was awesome) - and they just steamrolled the enemy base.

Again, it's just so damn charming. It scratches an itch I have to constantly be playing Civilization V, but it takes it down to a simpler level that's short form (read: not 5+ hours per campaign) and accessible. Devs, please continue with this. I want so bad to catapult-nuke the enemy scrundlekins. Congrats on the jam, and cheers!

Edit: I meant to say, but if y'all ever make an android build I would seriously pay for it; it's like, perfect for mobile

Hi there, ol' Zaozoruzhna here to help with a little clarification.

The way the cards work is that there are multiple different types: the standard card that you see for most options, the rare card (denoted with a gem top-center of the card frame) that typically is accessible through some prerequisite your daughter has hit (which btw, these choices usually lead to better/interesting content); there are also cards that have a swirl in the top left corner, which correspond to different tokens your daughter may have (culinary tokens, poison tokens, and wealth tokens), applying these tokens (by clicking on the swirl) will increase your odds of succeeding that skill check.

Lastly, there are the nope cards. Sometimes, rather than bothering with an event (as we do have a couple rather... longer ones sprinkled throughout), you just want to continue on with the game - the nope cards allow you to bypass an event without shortening the total number of events your daughter will get in the run (consider them like a mulligan.)

I hope this helps clarify, if you have any other questions, feel free to ask!

Let me be of some help, as part of the challenge of the Mausoleum is navigating your way through it.

In essence, what you're aiming to do is get to the heart of the Mausoleum, where the Revenger's enemy waits. But to do so, you need to acquire keys to progress through locked doors - these keys are attained by fighting (or using items if you acquired them in town) two sub-bosses.

If you would like, I have attached a map of the mausoleum to help guide you through.

Also note: if you wish to prematurely end the story, you can return to the entrance of the Mausoleum and leave. Later on, if you re-encounter the Crone who reads you the tale, you'll have the option to start at the beginning of the Mausoleum rather than town.

(And depending on how you played the town portion, re-starting at the beginning of the Mausoleum may yield a different end...)

I hope this helps! -Zaozoruzhna

Hello~

Just curious, are you still in the town? Or have you made it to the Mausoleum?

Hello Habeabi, and thanks for the kind words! Glad you're enjoying the game (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧

With clairvoyance, there might be a chance at tipping the odds in your favor should you find yourself at Lady Luck's table

The Violet Coral encounter requires a certain type of mushroom girl, one that complements by contrast the qualities Miss VC has

For the glade, if the daughter can read with the bookworm trait, there's a touching epitaph at the base of the statue. Otherwise, if you have the minor spirit summoning trait, there is a lingering pain in the area who's ear you may like to bend. And who knows, there may be a special bond on that hallowed ground with a certain three-star creepy lass. ;)

Hello! For the "In which your daughter sees the boundaries between two worlds" ending, you need to run the Mountain Final Challenge Event (unlocked by scaling the smaller mountain during Summer or Autumn)

xx SPOILERS FOR MOUNTAIN FCE AHEAD xx

At the top of the mountain, when facing the knight at the summit with the Dreamer, attempt to dissuade him (not fight or stand your ground).

This is one of multiple endings attributed to the Mountain Final Challenge.

xx END OF SPOILERS xx

Hope that helps!
