I've gone back and forth about this for a while, and I've finally decided to share something with everyone.

This game has been an idea I've pondered over for (this is insane to me) two years now. It started as a simple thought as I was walking off campus. There is a particular deadzone there, and the music in my headphones ceased in that particular spot on that particular day. For a moment, all was silent and I heard the 'thump thump' of my heart. I'm not going to pretend I understand the complex intricacies of ideas and why they come when they do. It's got to be something of an impossible mix in circumstance and sense. Nevertheless, that was when it came to me.

I spent nearly a year creating the project "Painless". It is in an unfinished state, but it was the thing I needed to truly mature the concept. (If you are interested, you can find it here https://green-panda-studios.itch.io/painless).

I'm a software engineering student, and thus my present self is in a perpetual three way battle with my time and my growing knowledge. Nevertheless, I've learned enough to know (or at least convince myself I know) what I need to do, and how to do it  efficiently. That said, I was able to spend approximately 5 months and flesh out the foundation for "The Heart's Game". That includes the boring (to most) underlying data management systems to the cool (to look at) things like animations, models, and texturing.

I'm writing this to force my hand in a sense. I want to be better about sharing my work. As a creator, it is impossibly important to receive feedback about the things one creates. I'm asking for that, and I genuinely hope you will all answer the call, even if that is to criticize everything I've done.

With all that out of the way, here is a look at some of the things I've been working on. Bear in mind, this is a collection of 5 months, and many things are out of order in that sense. Moving forward, I will be better at logging specific improvements at specific times. What you need to know is "The Heart's Game" is the only truly physics based puzzle platformer where you play as the heart. And, I ask you all, what do you think it's about?
