the tips vs the deep hunter i have found was to not be on the angle of lightning

but then i cant lightning

he also seems a bit slower then me so maybe i could polearm him and run away a lot?

but he seems to also have a polearm

... help?

Try buying some explosives or healing items from the merchant before taking on the Hunter. I've also found throwing knives, often carried by Bandits, are especially useful for staying out of its range. 

ah, your not really supposed to just go down immediately i guess

with a lot of running and screaming and trowing lightningbolts i got to a big room that didnt seem to have more stairs down 

there i met the hunter and my strategy of running didnt work anymore, hadnt met any bandits for knives or found enough stuff to sell and get explosives

It's easy with heretic (easier still with experiment with the same electric skill) just know he can shoot or move so kite him on the diagonals shoot and move shoot and move. 

Also save your free health refill potion makes this even easier take 2 lightning shots go in close to finish off pop your potion if you get low or swarmed.

Additional strategic advice: if your really struggling look around on the map if your right by a town go see if there's any quests. A easy escort mission or kill some puggles and you will have a level advantage too that should greatly help. (especially useful if your playing with experiment runs and roll a quadriplegic with asthma and thin skill rofl)
