I am really liking the demo so far, and I figure I will provide some feedback seeing as how I have played racing games for more than 20 years now.
- Why can't you get into controls?
The Biggest improvement on the controls would be to add a small in-game Menu system. I did not bother to look at the controls of the game on the website, so I took a guess as to how the game controlled. - Anything that frustrates you?
Being unable to exit the demo using only the gamepad is a pretty big deal. - What you will improve?
I have several Improvements I can suggest.- Vehicle Customization? I would like to see how the physics works with different vehicle configurations. I figure customization options similar to how Rockstar Games handled the task in Grand Theft Auto 5 would be a good start.
- Multiplayer - Racing games really are best when played in multiplayer.
- Unified Release - I would like to be able to try switching between the two types without having to download two separate copies of the game.
- User Input Customization would be nice. I have different gamepads and the controls are different depending on which gamepad I currently am using. I have access to Playstation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Nintendo Switch, and 8Bitdo controllers.
- Breaking Force is too strong, not very realistic.
- Car slides too much or low?
I found no issue with this, but depending on race track I might want to pick a vehicle with different traction settings seeing as how this would effect grip which in turn effects the slide of the car. - What's your best arcade racing game in terms of driving/handling/fun?
I tend to like racing games in general. If I had to suggest anything it would be the following games ( not ranked).- Grand Theft Auto 5 Online - There are in-game racing modes that do not involve any combat.
- Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec
- Hotshot racing
- Project Cars 2
- Toybox Turbos
- Grid 2
- Dirt 3
While not exactly feedback on the ArcadeCar game demo, It is still feedback... I noticed the "Gamedev 4k Textures" Bundle from Kronbits, and like the look. The only issue I have for this bundle is I would like to know what sort of licensing these textures have before I make the purchase.
