Wayfaring Strangers is a semi-open world roguelite with a character based narrative. As one of the many estranged citizens in the Scarred World, you explore trying to encounter strange and colorful characters who are trying to get by in a harsh war torn land.  Collect items, build your arsenal, help the broken people of land, rebuild your Homestead, and find the meaning of "home".

THE SETTING
The Scarred World is a land recovering from countless and meaningless wars.  And yet, that which wrought destruction upon the world is also the catalyst of it's creation.  Mountains rose and oceans flooded valleys.  The way "home" is even harder than ever.  Scattered about the world are portals which can take you anywhere....but you don't have much of a choice where.  Step inside and dare to travel this unrelenting world.

THE GAMEPLAY
Wayfaring Strangers takes a page out of item based collection and progression like Terraria.  Combat is simple and straight-forward but with many different item builds to change up your playstyle.  Wannna hit hard and fast?  Find items with attack speed and crit chance. Wanna kite your enemies?  Get some long range weapons and apply poison.  Wanna be sneaky? Get items that give bonuses when hiding in grass.

Under certain conditions, death means starting over at your home and losing some items.  But if you are not careful, death is permanent and you will not only lose your items, but everything else!  Interact with many characters, help them on their quest to find "home" and build up your own Homestead to become a beacon of hope in the Scarred World.

This is my first solo project and there is a lot more work to be done.  I would love everyone's help and feedback to help refine the game and take it in a cohesive and engaging direction.

This is beautiful!

Thank you!
